What Is This Toddfoolery?!

Because it’s really easy to see a kink I don’t like and be like “nah they wouldn’t be into that” but that’s my own preference for what I want to read and my specific interpretation of the character talking. But in reality? It’s not impossible. People irl have kinks you’d never in a million years suspect. People are complex.

The joy of fanfic is you can give your favs the kinks you want to see lmao. And it’s a wonderful way to explore a character too like why do you feel they’d like this? How would they go about engaging with it? Are they ashamed of it? Is it only specific to certain people or situations? Etc.

Smut at its core is usually self indulgent though (and it’s wonderful) so of course people pick the things they specifically want to see and reject the things they don’t.

Whether you find their implementation and execution of it believable or IC is up to you and if you don’t just move on. It’s not for you and that’s fine! just don’t be an ass.

Sometimes kinks DO seemingly contradict someone’s personality and that might even be the whole point and what does it for them.

And sometimes kinks do fit l perfectly with their personality and it’s like ‘of course they’d be into that’

It can go either way!!!
