1. Which book would you consider the best book you’ve ever read and why? One Hundred Years Of Solitude. It's so magical and brutal and lyrical. It started strong and finished phenomenally. That story was so much, almost too much. But no word, no sentence, was wasted. I love that book so much.

24. Do you prefer happy endings or sad endings? Devastating endings, actually. So I guess pasok yon sa sad? Hahaha. I also very much enjoy ambiguous endings!

A book with one really amazing scene.

A recent one I've read is from "Candido's Apocalypse," a short story in a collection by Nick Joaquin. It's when Bobby became Candido and is suddenly seeing through everyone's clothing. Very appalling and very compelling and very cinematic. Especially that scene at the church. Ugh. Love that. Also, any mirror scenes in Nick Joaquin's Stories are *chef's kiss*

A book with one scene that really annoyed you.

There was a scene in Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix when they lead Professor Umbridge into the forbidden forest and I was like "oh, so this is the whole point of introducing Grawp at the start of the book." Super annoying. It was also the scene that made me say, "ah, this is why I don't like this series." It had a very bad case of plots moving the characters.

A fictional book that taught you about/increased your interest in a real-life subject.

The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory was the catalyst for my love of all things Tudor (and later the dysfunctional Plantagenets).
