@labyrinthled continued from here!
She still wasn’t sure why she’d agreed to fish with her senpai out of other reasons that pure interest. In a way she was honored that he’d asked her of the IT members and in a way just confused. Naoto hadn’t fished earlier at all and was completely inexperienced in this art. His reasons made sense in a way but still… it was random. At least he had given her a crash course on how it should be done and looked like how he was a pro at this.
“May I ask again where all of your money went…? I had an assumption you weren’t a big spender in the first place.” It took her a moment to realize her direct question was a bit too direct and could be taken as criticism and she was quick to add how it definitely wasn’t a negative assumption, just something out of curiosity. She was still looking at the fishing rod, unsure if the techniques would really work or not and. If this didn’t provide results in more than one hour, she was going to just buy the snacks herself and loan him some money.
She tried to sound impressive and like she knew what she was doing when giving a not as confident nod to her senpai. “Uh... I’ll try my best in this and keep the goal in mind. Don’t assume me to get a big catch, though. Let’s get to this, and start.” The game was now on and Naoto just knew that the chances of them catching enough fishes to feed the whole IT were scarce. If she got one it would be a freaking miracle.Â
