Looked through the dvd tag and now tumblr is showing me a bunch of renaissance art. I mean its pretty and all but I actuelly just wanted to see the repressed gay catholic and the pretty bisexuel kiss.

Re-watching da Vinci's Demons and omfg, Leo and Riario are so gay? Like, sure, shipped them the first time, obviously, but I forgot just how gay they were? Like, Riario's "Then I'll have you as well", in episode 2, the camera panning to him rolling his eyes when Pazzi is talking about "sodomites" (which really made it seem like they were implying he was gay), Leo's "The Pope wants my talent, Riario wants my key" which sounds like a bad euphemism for something else, Riario getting his cousin a job and protection (somewhat) and then ordering to have her killed the moment he thinks/realizes she loves Leo... It's baffling to think that, no, the directors meant nothing by that (despite da Vinci being very much not a straight person historically)
