âLynn psychopath au?? Smirks, blood all dat â
She still wasnât home. You tried not to jump to conclusions, not to let the past cloud your present vision. Sheâd told you she was done, that she could stop. But she still wasnât home. You didnât want to question her, you didnât want the fall out if you were wrong. But god, you didnât want to be right. As if on cue with your detrimental thoughts, the door clicked open from the other side. She was trying to be quiet, as if you wouldnât be sat up waiting for her. She creeped into the room, closing the door softly as she turned around. You knew she was shocked to see you, not because she jumped or showed any visible signs of fright - but because of the menacing smile that tugged at her redder than usual lips.
âY/N.â She addressed you lowly, dropping her bag before leaning her back against the wall. There was a smudge on her neck, it was dark and reached all the way down to her collarbone. You managed to convince yourself it wasnât blood. She wasnât even trying to hide it anymore, she didnât care at all.
"Whereâve you been?â You questioned. She ran her long fingers through her flowing hair, the light catching her swollen and bruised knuckles. You winced, dropping your eyes when she caught you staring. You hadnât noticed the blood pooling around the corner of her bottom lip until she took a few steps closer to you, her boots clicking so slowly that it made your chest tight. She begun to undo her buttons, her lips parted.
âOut.â She offered simply, her smirk growing.
âI gotta shower, wanna join?â She proposed, flicking her eyes to the bathroom and then back to your shaking self.
âWhat did you do?â It had been so long since youâd had to ask the question, long enough to make you think youâd never have to ask it again. Her smirk grew, her eyes glowing as she crawled on top of you. She held herself up, the muscles in her arms twisting and flexing as her hands pressed into the sheets either side of you. You sunk unconsciously lower. She hovered over your lips, the wounds sheâd accumulated since the last time youâd seen her becoming more and more apparent. The bones just below her neck were bruised, small scratches and what looked like bit marks coated the inside of her biceps. She rested her forehead on yours, breathing deeply and exhaling for longer than necessary.
âLynn..â You growled, covering her hand with your own. You hated how much you adored her touch, especially at times like this.
âHe deserved it.â She whispered darkly. Your breath hitched as she licked her lips, her tongue smoothing over her visibly throbbing skin. You felt her words rip throughout you, tearing you apart from the inside out.
âDid he, Lynn?â You bit incredulously. She nodded, attempting to kiss you. Her smirk remained even as you dodged her advance. You wriggled your way out from under her, rolling off the bed to position yourself against the wall. You werenât scared - not of her, anyway.
âHe was a bad guy, Y/N. I did the world a favour.â She husked, speaking the words to where your head had been before turning around. She made her way to you, her hair falling in her face as she did. Her shirt was half undone, falling off her left shoulder and exposing her chest. You tried not to look, just because she was beautiful didnât mean any of this was okay.
âYou did the world a favour by way of murder, Lynn. You donât get to decide! Youâre not the universe, youâre not in charge of who dies when. He had a family, parents at least..â You laughed incredulously as the tears begun to well.
âTrust me, nobody will miss that scumbag.â She growled, suddenly standing in front of you. She towered over your close to trembling frame, resting one hand beside your head as she came in close once again.
âI donât fucking trust you..â You spat, stopping yourself before you said anything else youâd regret. Lynnâs hand gripped your throat, pinning you against the wall as her fingers clenched around your windpipe. She smirked when you started to struggle, watching as you managed to choke out a few words before things started to get hazy.
âWhatâre you gonna do, kill me too?â Immediately you could breathe again, your own hands rushing to your burning throat. You coughed and spluttered, bending over when you started to gag. You stared at Lynnâs boots, cringing when you noticed blood decorating each side of them. Her hands were in fists by her sides, her frame frozen. You finally managed to stand back up, Lynnâs expression not one you could decode.Â
âYou said you were done. There is evidence everywhere. Thereâs evidence on me..â You tried one last time to prompt some kind of emotional reaction from her. Her lack of remorse didnât equal a lack of love for you. At least youâd told yourself it didnât. Because if it did, what the hell were you still doing here?
âNothing is traceable back to me. I was careful.â You couldnât take her assurance seriously, not with the blood stains that covered practically every inch of her skin and clothing. You laughed humourlessly, shoving her as you made your way over to your half packed bag.
âDonât go..â She said lowly, refusing to turn around.
âStop killing people.â You said bluntly, parroting her tone.
âI love you.â She husked, catching your wrist as you attempted to stride past her. âDo you?â You questioned intensely.
âCan you?â You continued when she took too long to answer, staring at her chest and wondering what was really going on inside her heart. She kissed you before you had a chance to move, her lips moving softly against yours. You could taste the blood. She sought out your reluctant tongue, sucking you into the trance she had a habit of holding you in. After a few minutes you pulled back, pushing at her chest. She barely budged, her feet glued to the floor.
âDonât make me choose, Y/N. I canât help it..â You couldnât believe her words. You couldnât believe youâd ended up in this situation. You couldnât believe you still loved her so much.
âYouâre a psychopath, Lynn. Thatâs not..fixable.â Youâd never said the words out loud, but it was redundant to deny the obvious any further.
âStay with me, tonight.â She pleaded, pulling you in close once again. When you headed for the door again she tightened her grip on your hand, so tight that it hurt. You didnât turn around, you instead listened to her breathing and waited for her to speak.
âStay with me, or Iâll kill you.â She whispered. Your heart didnât pound and your sweat didnât pour. You werenât scared at all. You were grateful. Sheâd given you a reason to stay.
