they have released the posters of wynonna earp: tales from purgatory !

Waverly Earp is probably the most special character on TV for me.

We got to witness her journey of growth right in front of our eyes. When we first were introduced to Waverly, we saw this character that was a bit shy, frustrated, a tad bit diplomatic and in a position where she was destined for so much more, even if she didn’t realize it at the time. She wanted to offer her help in any way, even if she she had no established place. She was just Wynonna’s little sister.

Waverly went from being scared to take that leap of faith with Nicole in season 1, to trying to be her protector from BBD and what it entailed in season 2. She became more confident as we saw her standing up for herself and finding her place not just to us watching the show, but in the Wynonna Earp story. Rather than asking for a place on the team, she established her role and brought her strengths where she was needed.

She stood up to Wynonna, to Nicole, to Doc and to Dolls, etc. and we started seeing a more fiery personality from her as her confidence continued to build over the course of 4 seasons. We saw her in a role of being a caretaker, a fighter, and someone who would go to any means possible if it meant she was fighting to save the ones that she loves. Even if it meant sacrificing herself.

So, thank you to Emily for giving me a character that taught me that fighting for the ones you love is always worth it but more importantly, choosing to fight for yourself and discovering what your self worth is, overcomes everything. When you decide that you are worthy of being free and happy, and deserving of love, that is when you shine the brightest. When you bet on yourself.
