- medi is the only tiefling in her family! her mother is a high elf, her father a human, and her older brother julius is a half-elf. (also, medi would have albinism in human aus)

- consequently, her brother 100% believes she’s his half-sister and has been trying to find a way to Gently Bring This Up. juli loves his little sister and doesn’t think any less of her but like... she’s got Horns. and a Tail. mother . mother we need to talk

- he has generally been having a lot of revelations about his family that maybe he doesn’t want to be having. stupid anxious twink just wants to do good inheriting the family business and  maybe kiss a hot boy he didn’t ask for this mess

- phoenix is actually also from waterdeep! it doesn’t come up much because she’s in Strahd’s Depression Zone, and she’s, ah. not welcome back in waterdeep to begin with. you blow up your own damn workshop and suddenly everyone thinks it’s their problem, like come on, the research she was doing wasn’t technically illegal.

- this does mean i have a little au in my head for my personal enjoyment only where phoenix was juli and medi’s magic teacher for exactly three weeks before their mom fired her. not even for doing a bad job at teaching them magic but phoenix taught medi how to say fuck.

Holiday Headcanon

I’m not sure whether to take this as holidays as in Christmas etc. or as vacations (more commonly known as holidays in the UK) so I’ll go with the former.

Ateyla: Halloween/Mad King’s Day isn’t her most enjoyed celebration at it’s core but she loves how happy it makes her friends and family. Despite not really wanting to pander to the stereotype of terrifying Necromancers, she does indulge in telling horror stories, dressing up in elegant, Gothic outfits and gathering candy to later give to Klivvik and Caerthys.

Quinn: No matter the holiday she prefers to spend it ‘alone’, with alone being quietly with Sheidra. After losing her family, and even after meeting her Mentor, Quinn could never quite bring herself to enjoy what should be a family event. Sheidra is somewhat at a loss being unable to find gifts to give to her Summoner but Quinn appreciates the Outsider’s company

Nickname Headcanon

Ateyla: Somewhere along her way Ateyla accumulated the surname ‘Grey’. It’s not something she awoke with or saw herself becoming and she’s not totally sure of it’s origin. Originally she was Scholar/Magister Grey and then she became Ateyla Grey and it stuck. She’s also often affectionately named for white flowers and flora that thrives in the cold by friends and lovers.

Quinn: By taking herself a little too seriously and keeping anyone she might care about at arms length, Quinn has closed herself off from affectionate nicknames. When she eventually learns to merge and take on the form of her Eidolon she’ll be known more often as Quinndra.

Favorite Possession Headcanon

Ateyla: Her greatsword is easily one of her most prized and loved possessions. Forged by Caerthys at the rise of her Reaper skills and the turn of a personal era, it means a lot more than just being a really cool greatsword. Ateyla also possesses a leather bound notebook, stuffed with notes, sketches and collected scraps that it’s precariously sealed with a roughed up leather cord. It’s an accumulation of years of personal work and thoughts that is totally irreplaceable and one of a kind.

She also now possesses a delicate cuff/ring jewelry piece that might be the single most sentimental thing she’s been given.

Quinn: She loves her crossbow with a passion. It receives every upgrade she gets access too and will one day probably have it’s own personality. She loves her crossbow. That and her lucky wands, especially the Scorching Ray.

If yes, how?hmmm... phoenix, defintely, though most of that is deliberate on my part. most of her ttrpg party both IC and OOC tend to assume she’s an impulsive dumbass who blew her arm up in an accident and who doesn’t think about consequences

which, of course, is what she wants. because if they don’t ask questions, they don’t need to know that she’s looking to gain enough power to fuck over the whole planar system, and really, if she needs to sacrifice a few people along the way if they stop being useful... it’s better if they don’t suspect it. :)!

Any OCs that were inspired by a certain song?all of them, to some degree!! i tend to go to music for inspo a lot. for the sake of example, though, a lot of valenze’s backstory came from cursed by lord huron and a major breakthrough in phoenix’s backstory was heretic by lady lamb the beekeeper!
