From what I can get from this, Gen 2 Serval (Nexon) attacks Cellien Queen some time after the original game’s events because she had Original Kyururu hostage. Along with that, the cutscene shown at the beginning of Kemono Friends Pavilion’s intro happened to take place during that time. This means Pavilion’s intro takes place some time after the original game, and not too long before Gen 2 Serval become a Beast.

Or, a theory I did not come up with. Apparently, Kyururu’s hair is similar to Professor Kako’s hair. Professor Kako is character from the original game, but she was in the dialogue of Kemono Friends Pavilion’s opening cutscene.

Speaking of the Kemono Friends Pavilion, I theorize that season 2 takes place after Pavilion to add in to the Kyururu = Kako theory. Similar to how Kaban was made from Mirai’s hair strand, Kyururu might’ve been from Kako’s hair strand. We see Kyruru awaken inside a building, and the cutscene did seem like it took place inside a computer room.

Alternatively, she could’ve been one of the people who got stuck inside the pavilion according to the cutscene, but it’s less likely considering the pavilion was being locked down. Not to mention, the possibility of a random child surviving while being on top of rubble isn’t very likely. Thus, Kyururu being a human made from sandstar is more likely.
