Imminence- The Flowering Death
This flower thrives in Kyrac or where dark magic is prevalent. It's very similar to a rose, with the soft petals and spiked stem but this flower is much more deadly. The thorns are razor sharp and are not only on the stem, but little thorns appear on the leaves and between the petals.
This flower has several stages with names based on the toxins it produces. And yes, I said toxins. The flower produces chemicals that are varying levels of deadly.
When the flower starts it's simply called Imminence. The flower is a pure white as a bud and stays this way until it's about ready to unfurl. Then it takes it's first stage.
Irresistible imminence- Seductive in all ways this is the stage for it's blooming. The white bud slowly fills up with the toxins that up until this point had been stored in the stem. It slowly begins to turn a dark red from the roots and as the petals fill they slowly unfurl under the weight of the toxin. Once the petals have no more room and the entire flower has turned red the petals begin to leech the toxin, and appear almost to bleed.
This toxin is basically a version of opium but very strong. It's usually lit and it's vapors allowed to fill a room which gives users the high properties with little side effect. Still you could go more serious and smoke it, which would give more vision like experience as well as make the user feel like they're floating out of their body.
Direct injection of this toxin would cause more intense visions and total detachment from the body.
Eradicating imminence - The next stage. Once the red toxin begins to seep from the petals a new toxin takes it's place. As the red falls out a dark purple replaces it. This is the next toxin, and the deadliest.
This is basically a heroin and PCP mix toxin and it's used in only two ways effectively. Both are direct contact with the body, placing a few drops on the tongue or direct injection. Unlike the previous stage this one always provides a very large high. It causes jitters, improves strength to ridiculous increments, makes eye sight super sharp but has the draw back of very vivid hallucinations.
Where the other toxin could kill you after too long of use in a day this one will kill you if you apply more then 6 drops. Yes, literally 6 drops of this will kill you. Which considering the petals, thorns and roots can all injects the toxin's in you the flower can easily kill if you're not careful.
Imminence Death- The final stage of the flower doesn't even have a pretty name. It's literally called Death. As the purple toxin falls out of the flower it begins to pool at the base of the flower. The petals slowly blacken as the toxins leave. The toxin then sinks into the base of the plant and eats itself, making the petals shrivel up and die and then the plants own toxins eat it. At this stage the flower is basically a giant death trap. Except for the petals.
If the petals are completely devoid of any of the toxins it has properties highly lauded over in healing. It creates a morphine like substance that will help with all types of healing or could easily be mixed with other substances to create a soothing effect. While the other stages are highly sought after for drug purposes it's these petals that really make the flower a rare treasure.
