"What do you think?"

"I love it, Ben. It's everything I pictured."

"Yeah?"

"Beachfront room, large balcony, the deluxe package. It's the honeymoon I used to dream of."

"I said I'd give it to you. Just a few years late."

"A few?"

"Well, stuff got in the way. You'd know, you were there for most of it."

"I'd hardly call the kids stuff, but okay. Not that I didn't care for all those Disney trips. Nice to have one trip alone."

"Amen. What's that?"

"I don't know... huh, it's our first wedding album. I guess one of the girls packed it for us."

"I haven't looked at this in years. Hux, were we really that young?"

"Married right out of school, what do you think?"

"Our city hall picture under that ugly flower arch. All these blurry photos from the reception. We should never have let Poe record everything."

"I love this one of us and your parents. We should frame that."

"Later, of course. We're late for the beach. That preacher won't wait forever."

"Oh, he'll be fine, what with everybody down there to entertain him."

"..."

"What, Ben? You think I didn't know our kids, their husbands, our grandkids and our friends were here, too? You're terrible at keeping surprises."

"I know, but try to fake it when we go down to the lobby, please? They all wanted to come, and they paid their own way."

"Yes, fine. It's great. Though I've never faked for you before in my life."

"I know that, too."

"Shall we renew these vows, Mr. Solo-Hux?"

"We shall. Happy fortieth, love."

@kyluxwedding - Day 10 - Wedding Night (skipping Elopement since it doesn't apply to the arc)

"So..."

"So."

"Here we are."

"Yes, we are here."

"Hux, stop parroting me."

"I wasn't... not entirely."

"How long does it take to brush your teeth? Come to bed."

"I am almost done, Ben. You know I have a routine. That won't change just because we're married."

"Less talking, more brushing, then spitting and rinsing and scooting your cute butt over here now."

"Calm your tits. It's not like you enlisted and have to ship out tomorrow. We have the whole weekend."

"Yes, and I want to spend it making love with the man I married. I... Hux, what is it?"

"Nothing."

"You're not... you didn't change your mind, did you?"

"Of course not, Ben. I love you."

"..."

"I'm also nervous as hell."

"Why? It's not our first time."

"I know, but this is our first married time. It's special, and different, and it's the rest of our lives."

"I wasn't think you had a speech prepared. Hux, go brush your teeth and come here."

"Fine."

"Is this so bad?"

"It's fine."

"Just fine?"

"Ben, it's good. It was good the first time even when it went fast. It was good every time after that."

"It's gonna be amazing tonight, too. Because we have a private room to ourselves. No parents watching TV downstairs. No friends texting to go out. It's you and me in a bigger bed together."

"Yes, more room."

"I get to touch you everywhere. I get to kiss every inch of you. I get to lie back while it's your turn. Then there's the best part."

"The actual sex."

@kyluxwedding - Day 8 - Reception

As they're leaving city hall, Ben gets a text to meet his parents at a nearby restaurant. They walk in to a surprise party celebrating their wedding.

"Did you know about this?"

"Of course not."

"You're sure?"

"Ben, no. We've been married twenty minutes; I won't start our life together with a lie."

"I believe you. Like I said, Mom likes you better. I thought maybe she might have hinted at something."

"The buffet has stuff I can eat, so that makes sense. Ben, look at the gift table."

"Damn. We didn't even have a registry."

"And the cake. It's gorgeous. I almost hate to have to cut it."

"You okay, Hux?"

"Yes... I just can't believe your family and friends went to all this trouble."

"Hux."

"..."

"They're your family and friends now, too."

"Are you still going to call me Hux even though we're married?"

"Should I start calling you Solo? Solo-Hux?"

@kyluxwedding - Day 7 - Ceremony

"Ben."

"Hm?"

"We're up. Didn't you hear the clerk call for us?"

"Oh, right. Sorry. I wasn't paying attention."

"Are you okay, Ben? You look nervous."

"I'm happy, Hux. This is it. We're about to get married."

"I know. I'm happy, too. I also know that we still have thirty days on the license. If you want to wait--"

"No."

"Okay, I'm just saying that if you need more time I'm okay with that."

"I'm fine, really. It's just... I waited so long for this and it's finally here."

"We should go, Ben. I don't know if they move on to the next couple if we don't answer."

"I love you, Mr. Solo-Hux."

"I love you back, Mr. Solo-Hux."

"Look at me. My hand is shaking. Why? It's over, we're married."

"Residual nerves, maybe? I think it's cute, Ben."

"Cute? I could barely say my vows, I was stammering so much."

"What's important is the license is signed and processed. We're married and nobody can change that. Ben... we didn't plan for anything afterward. What do you want to do first? We can get some dinner, find a club..."

"You know what I want."

"..."

"I hope nobody's mad we took care of this ourselves."

"They'll be happy for us, Ben. Your parents promised us a bigger party after college and that's fine with me."

@kyluxwedding - Day 6 - Wedding Traditions

"So, I have a question."

"Shoot."

"Bachelor party."

"That's not a question, Hux."

"Is somebody planning to throw you one?"

"Not that I know of, seeing as how we're keeping the wedding to ourselves. Why? Is Phasma dragging you to a strip club later?"

"I hope not. I figured the football team would want to take you for out for a 'last night of freedom,' or whatever."

"Hux, don't worry about it. I'm not interested in lap dances or any of that bullshit. Anyway, it's not much of a tradition in our family. My dad didn't have a bachelor party."

"No?"

"He and Mom got their friends together a week before the wedding. They cooked out, drank a bit, sat outside all night watching the stars. I found out later my mom's parents did the same thing."

"Sounds like a nice tradition."

"I know. I was... thinking we could do the same thing. We'll have the party in place of a reception. Then afterward, we observe the other traditions my parents did."

"Which is what?"

"They got so drunk Dad couldn't go home. He had to stay over."

"Ah. Well, you know I'm not a drinker, so I'll have to fake that part."

@kyluxwedding - Day 5 - Family

"One month."

"One month."

"We're going to be married in one month."

"Try at least to act excited. Ben."

"Funny. Hux, you have no idea. I can't sleep at night for thinking about it. One month from now we'll be sleeping together, in our bed."

"Yes. Which begs the question, when should we look to replace the bed in your room?"

"What?"

"Well, we'll have a few months before college starts and it doesn't make sense to rent a place for a short time. My parents are reluctant to host us, I have to admit, and your bed isn't nearly big enough... Ben, what's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Something is wrong. You're white as a sheet."

"Oh. Well, the thing is I was hoping we'd stay at your house since it's bigger."

"Good lord, Ben. You didn't tell them."

"..."

"Getting married was your idea! We're doing this in a month and they don't even know?"

"I'm going to tell them. It's just..."

"Do they not like me, Ben? Is that it?"

"Hux, they like you better then me, trust me. No, I just don't want them to get mad."

"We're eighteen, Ben. Legally they can't stop us. And didn't your parents marry young, too?"

"Yeah. That's probably the excuse they'll use to talk us out of it."

"But they're still together. That's the point of marriage. For better for worse, and all that. Ben, tell them today. A secret like this won't hold for long. They might surprise you."

"What if we waited until after we finish college? We'll be together and when my mom asks if we have plans for the future I can say hey guess what?"

"Ben."

@kyluxwedding - Day 4 - Wedding Clothes

"Hux, I need to stop by the dry cleaners after school."

"Sure. Picking up something for your parents?"

"No, my suit."

"You're wearing a suit to grad? That's actually nice. Most people don't bother to dress up anymore. Poe's threatening to just wear his briefs under his gown."

"Hadn't thought of that. It's for the wedding. You have your suit picked, right?"

"Seeing as how I have just the one, yes."

"That matches mine, though. Isn't it bad luck to wear the same thing?"

"It's bad luck to see your intended before the wedding. I don't think there are any superstitions tied to clothing. And what's wrong with dressing alike? We'll look nice for the pictures."

"Maybe I should get a new suit."

"Ben, you don't need a new suit. The one you have is fine. You look great in it."

"Yeah?"

"You will make a handsome groom."

"Not like you, though. I can't wait."

"If you're that concerned, we'll wear different boutonnieres like we did at prom."

"Maybe we should have extended the rental on our tuxes."

"Too fancy for city hall, I think."

"You know, I think I'll go to grad in only my underwear. I don't want anything to happen to my suit before the wedding."

"You wouldn't dare."

@kyluxwedding - Day 3 - Wedding Cake

"Hux, look what I got."

"Oh, tuxedo action figures. Do they come with weapons?"

"They're for our wedding cake, you dumbass."

"This one's blond."

"They didn't have any redheaded grooms, so I'm going to paint the hair."

"Maybe it'll be easier if I dye my hair blond. Anyway, why do we have cake figures? We're not throwing a traditional wedding."

"We're still having a cake, right? Hux, we can't not have cake."

"You have money left? After what you spent on the rings?"

"It's not like we have to buy a five-tier cake. We'll get something small at the bakery, or I'll ask my mom to make us one."

"The bakery makes Star Wars cakes. We can get one to match the rings."

"Then the grooms will look stupid on it."

"Not if they're holding lightsabers."

"So glad you're taking this seriously."

"I am, Ben. The figures are lovely. I agree that we should have a cake for afterward. What about cupcakes? Some couples do that for their weddings now."

"I guess it would be easier to feed each the first bite that way, but will the groom figures fit on one cupcake?"

"They'll have to stand very close, like this."
