"I adore you," they said, half whispered. It was so deeply dark that the words had no shape, and hung there, floating like dust motes in the nonexistent shafts of light. Their hands wandered, kneading as they pulled me closer, nuzzling and nibbling my collar bone. Everything and nothing happened next, as somewhere between sighs and searching fingertips, we fell asleep entangled in blankets, and each other.
