I ran 600m today.
Really it was 300 run, 400 walk and then another300 run, but I did it all without stopping and I did it in about 9 minutes and I had no idea I could do it. It was in one of my classes for the gym challenge I'm doing, and I basically had to do 1km as fast as I could. I got on there planning to run 100, walk 100 or something, but as I got going, I just kept running. When it hit 300 I wasn't completely exhausted, but I thought I should go to a nice power walk, and then jump back up and run the last bit. For the challenge, one of my goals is to run 1km, and I've still got another 11 weeks to achieve that, so I'm well on my way! This makes me so motivated! Tomorrow ill do my weigh in and let you know how I'm doing with the challenge :)
i survived my spin class! it wasn't too bad, just my bum hurt, a lot. and my legs were still sore from the last few days, so that didn't really help either. and i definitely wasn't the most unfit there, so that was a bonus.
woo. now i'm off to the shops before work to buy some new work pants and underwear, because both of them keep falling down, which is awesome, but annoying at the same time :)
compliments flying at me left, right and centre!
first one was yesterday at work. i was manning the self checkouts, and this woman, probably never seen her before in my life, asked me how much weight i'd lost. at first i was a little bit 'ugh, i've never seen you before in my life', but i said '15 kg'. she was so overjoyed, and i'm thinking 'i still have no idea who you are!'.
second was today, one of the girls in my wednesday class that we don't really go to was walking past me in the library, and i guess she noticed because we haven't seen each other for a while. so we were talking about it for a while and stuff, she had to go to class, i had to get my books, but that was number 2.
third one was i think the best. i was at the gym, mid-pt session, sweat and hair everywhere, and this girl was like 'you smashed that, you're looking so good, you've lost so much weight since you started'. this was another 'who the fuck are you' moments, but it was good. she was a toned, tall skinny girl, and getting compliments from someone like her is something i think i've always wanted. something i never got from the girls at school.
i think my school is doing a 5 year high school reunion, so i'll see how many people are onto their second child, and i'll be looking uber hot!
so excited.
i also need to buy new underwear. because mine don't stay up anymore.
also,
this morning at the gym, i did 3x10 100kg leg presses, and 3 20 second planks :)
i'll go back and do cardio tonight, so i'll let you know how that goes

YES! it didn't hurt as much, my shin splints aren't there as much. i felt like i was bouncing more or something. thaaaanks :)
I was doing some running intervals, 30 seconds running, 90 seconds walking. The first few times I ran at 8 km/h, but at 9 km/h I felt more comfortable. Does anyone else find that they run easier that little bit faster?
My pt session today
Was so good. I've been at the gym heaps in the last few days, so my legs and abs are so sore today. So today we did arms. 20 upright rows with 10kg each hand 10 half burpees 20 jump overs on a short bench 10 shoulder presses with 10kg each hand This was the first circuit which I had to do 3 times. I have a thing about jumping. I don't like it, and I find it really hard to imagine myself doing it. I can do star jumps and burpees and stuff, but jumping over and jumping onto things I can't do. But today I did the jump overs. I didnt make it the whole way over on most, but I did them all. So I was so proud of myself for that. The 2nd circuit was a 1min run, 10 push-ups, 10 mountain climbers and 10 bench presses, all as fast as I could. The first run was at 8km/h at 0 incline and that I got through pretty well, then did the rest of it. The second run was at 9km/h at 2 incline, and although I was making weird sounds by the end, I made it through that too. My trainer was so proud of me :) and she said my running form was really good, and I told her it was from reading what all of you guys post about running posture and stuff like that. It made me feel so good to run like that, so ill definitely be doing more. I only ran twice but no shin splints today. My quads and hammies are in so much pain though. So that's my fitness update for now. I don't remember if I've posted this yet, but my trainer wants to me to be her star client for the gyms client of the year competition. If I win, I get $1000 and I also get to go to a national competition as well. And she picked ME. Crazy So that's my life at the moment. As I said earlier, I'm out today so ill post the promo when I get home tonight. Have an awesome day guys :)
