Today we ran to and fro. Grabbed ice. Then it was sign in day. All the riders came. We also did a little eating and riding. It was a good day. Had an awesome morning ride on Iowa gravel to Slater, Iowa today. It was a bit of a challenge as I neglected to eat anything before the ride. WHOOPS!!! Winds were light out of the south southeast which made for a bit of a challenge coming back to Ankeny. Gravel was loose in some places but overall it was fast! I’m excited to think I already have 200 miles for the year! Where did that come from??? Had a beautiful ride to Madrid today. Trails were not ideal so I could not push to the limit. There were spots of clear trail and spots of slick snow covered trail. I was able to average 14.9 for 46 miles.
