Yesterday was the last day of the #kwbr2023. We rode from marathon to key west. The southern most point of the United States. A lot of great memories from this tour. I’m incredibly thankful to come down in March to ride for youth ministry in SE ASIA! Yesterday was 53 miles of glorious tailwind! So much fun! #kwbr2023 is almost in the books. Hard to believe that tomorrow is the last day! People often ask me what ride I look forward to most? It’s this ride. The Key West bike ride. The Key West bike ride is a family reunion of sorts. Once you do it, you’ll be back year after year! Tomorrow is my least favorite day of the ride! It’s the last day. @allpraisejc asked me once a couple years back why I’m so quiet on the last day? It’s because I don’t want to go home! These last two days are both FIFTY miles. 62 miles today that felt like a century. So thankful for the strength to push through the day. I’m a bit tired after the last two days but tomorrow is the whole reason why I come down here. Todays ride was an 80 minute ride around watopia on @gozwift. Todays ride was dedicated to my grandma Grimes who would’ve been 78 today. I’m thankful for impact on my life growing up and I can’t wait to be reunited with her again. This ride is traditionally minutes on the trainer as I know it’s somewhat bearable riding indoors. Last night was the second @gozwift gran fondo of the winter. 50.7 miles with 3k feet of climbing. Not quite 100% sure I can wrap my head around this day. Set pit with the mindset of just enjoy my miles. I also set out with the mindset of I think I can do a century, keep in mind it’s been since @ragbrai since I’ve done a 100 mile day, and I’ve also been unmotivated since I haven’t had any @endscycling tours the second half of my year. It was a marvelous Saturday for miles!
