Martin Septim... the last of the noble line of Tiber Septim... yet in these dark days, with the empire in chaos and dismay, another star has risen in the sky: her own. The civil war still raged on in Skyrim, the World Eater has been slain, the Thalmor a lingering threat. this world needed.... a hero. This world needed a dragonborn on the throne of the Empire to set things right again.

    “Maybe you have heard of me,” she resumed. Some dragons had ventured beyond the borders of Skyrim, and reports spoke of a red-scaled dragon that roamed in the vicinity of the imperial city in the past few days. The Dragonborn surely must be heard of past the borders of Skyrim, or else she must have embarrassed herself terribly in front of a truer Hero. 

sebastian vael. probably mostly because i don’t think sebastian would want anyone to know. honestly speaking, anders doesn’t really have ? a problem ? he’s quite se.x positive, and there’s no shame in it. it’s a pleasure and for special someone’s it’s a little more than an intimate moment. no one really has to know they slept with anders, he doesn’t mind it. if that’s the case than he’ll take the win in that he had a good time.

I think it'd be a pretty interesting way of going about it, so long as there is some form of communication in place of speech. Best to create a decent balance so the rp partner isn't left doing all the work.

Yes, this is very true. I feel like if you’re not precise enough in your description of a character’s communication style, it could really easily start to feel like your partner has to do the heavy lifting which is no fun for anyone. It’s probably better to really nail down the character’s specific forms of communication before trying to jump into something blind.

I've done it before. It's challenging but fun.

I did a looooooooong long time ago (like 15 years long time ago) and, uh... it didn’t go well. But I like to think I’ve improved since then lmao It will definitely be a challenge, but I am looking forward to this character a lot.

I think it's absolutely fine. DA canonically has sign language for the Silent Sisters, but past that there's plenty of ways to nonverbally communicate!

Oh true! I actually completely forgot about the Silent Sisters. But yes, there’s definitely plenty of other avenues for nonverbal communication, and honestly I think that aspect by itself will be interesting to explore. Especially in the kinds of weird situations muses get up to lol

rp is inherently communication but there are so many things ppl can do that may or may not include actively communicating so i don't see why it would pose any problems - there are many ways to communicate and part of the amazing side of rp is being able to explore things like that!

Agreeeeed! Its one of the reasons I’m really looking forward to writing this character. RP really offers a lot of opportunity for growth as a writer and I think this will definitely be a good learning experience in developing my descriptive powers for sure.

My OC is mute and I've had a reasonable level of interest in him when I stray that way, although admittedly that's with incorporating other methods of communication as well.

That is very comforting to hear actually, and it seems like the general consensus is in support of other nonverbal forms of communication, which to me obviously makes a lot of sense. I’m just really happy to hear you’ve experienced success with your character!

Good to know! But yeah, again the trick will definitely be trying to make sure you don’t dump the weight on your partner, and you’re able to keep them invested and the topic interesting. Gotta exercise those creative muscles.

honestly as long as you give enough to respond to, either communication via writing or pictionary or through actions, I don't see a problem. Personally I'm a little wary about interacting on Talon with them because my boy can't read and I worry about everything turning into a frustrating game of pictionary but other than that I'd have absolutely no issue

My HC is that learning to harness lightning with magic leaves scars like lightning burn patterns that slowly crawl up from the hands and depending on how quickly they master the lightning determines how far up the arms the scarring travels. Also using it fills static in the air and a mage learns to discharge everything with the lightning attack and not leave residuals. Otherwise they - and ppl around them - can end up sparky for a bit. And the more they use lightning, the more the scent of ozone hangs around them.

   it’s almost instinctual, how quickly she removes her thick fur cloak without second thought, and wraps it ‘round alain’s shoulders. a drive to protect coded into her dna. this winter had a way of seeping into ones bones. a force equal parts as brutal as it was beautiful, much like herself. she’d grown accustomed to it’s bite, this cruel mistress that took as much as she gave. they were all, in some form or another, at her mercy. 

some  of  the  people  who  entered  into  whiterun  were  utter  FOOLS.  a  guard must be vigilant,  aware  of  everything  &  EVERYONE   ─   perhaps  someone  needs  to  train  up  their  pickpocketing.   ❛   hands to yourself, sneak thief.   ❜
