There are two Yu Yu Hakusho movies, Yu Yu Hakusho: The Movie from 1993 and Yu Yu Hakusho the Movie: Poltergeist Report in 1994. The first movie is pretty standard as far as anime movies go and nothing really stands out in my memory about it other than an epic Botan catch by Kurama.
In Poltergeist Report, Botan is yet again in need of rescuing, but the plot and villain cast is more memorable. It's been 15+ years since I watched it, but I recall loving the background story they added for Kurama and his final battle. At the time of the US release, YYH had only aired up until the Dark Tournament, so fans jumped onto Kuronue hardcore. (He was even my first cosplay!) I think Yomi would have been really popular if he'd ever gotten the chance to see primetime Toonami.
The second movie is a good time! It also came with a release of image songs, which always makes my heart happy. I posted when I found Yusuke's mini disc at Nakano Broadway and I got my hands on the rest shortly after then! I'll have to post them, as well as the promotional movie theater program another fan gifted me.
