YES SOMEONE ASKED ABOUT MY FAVORITE GAY DADS thank you so much anon, okay so this is gonna have some headcanons for them, their relationship, and how they are as parents so get ready for this to be long 😭 SPOILERS IF YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT OBORO’S BACKSTORY

-compress is kinda feminine, not to like an extreme but he does enjoy many feminine things

-they are both very close to their kids, compress is dad since he was toga’s father figure first and then oboro is papa

-neither of them yell at their 2 kids a lot since their kids are quite sensitive due to abuse they experienced before, including both physical and emotional because we do see that 3 year old toga was slapped across the face by her parents because of the mark

-compress can’t fucking cook, seriously look at that man and tell me his ass can cook

-very affectionate, 2 old gays in love and they aren’t afraid to show it

-they didn’t start dating until oboro’s body/soul was released from kurogiri, and oboro asked him out by making a heart cloud like how it is in his blog pfp

-compress watches rupauls drag race, you cannot convince me otherwise

-they have family dinners, everyone sits at the table. They want their kids to have a healthy relationship with not only them but eachother because it’s important

-as soon as they found out that their kids were neurodivergent they got right to researching to insure that their kids have the best childhood and just overall life experience possible

-just really wholesome guys, they are both funny and caring

-compress is now instead of being a villain just a magician while oboro is a pro hero and teacher at UA

-since oboro is a teacher he gets to see his kids more often and he’ll take any chance he can get to give his kiddos the love they deserve (bro ima start crying I forgot about how fucking wholesome I headcanon this man to be #weneedmelikeoboro)

-oboro calls his kids kiddos, mischievous munchkins, etc just sweet stuff

-very accepting of their children’s’ partners, toga’s being ochako and monoma’s being shinso

-oboro and present mic were fucking pumped to find out their kids were in love, they got so excited to hangout even more than they already do, Aizawa was happy but he was too tired to react

-to hide gifts for their kids compress compresses them down into marbles and they put them in a small baggie which have other similar looking marbles in so it doesn’t seem suspicious

-oboro will sometimes make clouds and float toga and monoma on them to make them laugh

-oboro helps the 2 train, also helps them learn how to properly communicate with other people as they both lack social awareness

-oboro has stubble, he also has scars since he was crushed by a fucking building 👁️👄👁️

-oboro still is good at bartending and makes cocktails for compress (mocktails for the demon children)

-everyone in the house is afraid of toga, let’s be honest we’re all scared of her. Everyone except for ochako is scared of toga, cause toga is scared of ochako

-they got swings in the backyard cause that shits fun

First we got compress. Personality I think he would be a bit feminine. Not to a point of wearing skirts or dresses no just a little feminine clothing and stuff here and there. Also he’s probably a dramatic theatre kid sooooo AND YES THAT IS HIS PROTHETIC ARM :D

Next we got oboro, the scars are from when he died but he was brought back. I think they would both wanna look like princes so that’s the inspiration, not all of these outfits are made by me I found some but most are from me. His is one I found on google there wasn’t credit

Shinso is pissed a bit cause he had to do his hair and monoma is just a pretty princess

Matching dresses, we all know it was toga’s idea and that dum shit stayed up to sew them

Oh boy do I! I have a couple put in a random note I made that I wanted to keep track of. They're all on Ao3 though because that's where I can find the good BlackMagic content.

First off to start the OG BlackMagic fic:

A bit of BlackMagic - Basically one of the fics that started my descent into this wonderful ship, only has 3 chapters but it's still really good.

For Him - It's not quite complete yet but its made a lot of progress from when I read it last. Honestly, made me tear up a little when I read it, but hey, to each their own.

A Magician's Charm - A very nice slow burn civilian AU, so far its only got 9 chapters by the time of me checking again, but I really liked it.

Of Style and Substance - A nice little fic of Kurogiri talking to Compress about raising Tomura and some face reveal provided by the author. Just nice fluff and lightheartedness for all, overall a great little fic.

dream a little dream of me - Wonderful song fic that BlackMagic dances to alone in the bar like old saps, I love it so much, it's so adorable.

Red Vests - Quite a funny fic imo, Kurogiri has a slight change of wardrobe and Compress comments on it, personally, I think red looks quite nice on both of them.

Suspension of Disbelief - (NSFW) A wonderful pwp piece that I have read perhaps quite a handful of times. There's some great and creative ideas in this one if you like that kinda stuff wink wink.

Banked Coals - (NSFW, tw - slight homophobia) I also particularly like this fic, it does focus on BlackMagic but adds in a little bit of domestic shenanigans between the LoV.

Under All That Mist - (NSFW) Ohh boy do I love this fic, I've read it so many times, a frustrated Compress has been flirting with Kurogiri for so gd long, and finally stops beating around the bush.

I first started shipping them when I started talking to @blackmagicstarship on discord. We had begun talking about ships and some pairings, and they introduced me to the rare pair. So, curiosity struck me, and I started to do my own reading of the fics and looked at some art. Soon enough, I thought they were really cute and good together, I thought that they worked really well for each other. They both are adults who honestly need a little support and a shoulder to lean on, and perhaps a little romance sprinkled in too doesn't hurt.
