A new challenger appears...
The pink-eyed eel thrashed impatiently, sending out sparks with each twist of his snake-like body. He had been waiting for what felt like days now, and there was still no sign of the boss.
A chilling hiss curled out from between his clenched teeth like a fog, and any nearby monster ducked in cover from his impatience.
"I knew we shouldn't have trusted her..." he spat out loud.
"Well now, that isn't very fair, is it, darling?"
The eel froze as a voice like wind chimes spoke up right behind him. He whirled around, but a thin tentacle wrapped tightly around his neck before he could say anything other than an undignified squawk.
His boss tutted. "I simply had other matters to attend to, my dear... I trust you and your sister have gotten the job done in my absense?"
The eel gulped and nodded. "W-we got one of the heirs... he's with my sister now back at the ruins..."
He gasped as the tentacle unwound from his throat, and the eel backed off respectfully as his boss drifted in front of him.
"If we have one of his children, then the crab himself should come running soon enough... And if what your scouts have said is true..."
"It is," the eel nodded. "He'll do anything to get them back."
Tentacles flushed a content pink as their owner intertwined them together.
"Now all we have to do is wait..."
