Bob Dylan's setlist, Bonn (Germany), July 4th, 2012 (perfect songs in italics, highlights bold :) Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues Man In The Long Black Coat Things Have Changed Tangled Up In Blue Rollin' And Tumblin' Tryin' To Get To Heaven Summer Days Spirit On The Water High Water A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall Highway 61 Revisited Simple Twist Of Fate Thunder On The Mountain Ballad Of A Thin Man Like A Rolling Stone All Along The Watchtower + Blowin' In The Wind   Okay, to make it short, this was a perfect concert. Open air, a sunny blue sky summer day on a meadow with the Rhine to one side and a beautiful, big park to the others, 10,000 people inside and another 6,000 outside, in the trees and in the park - 2 hours of great music. Good old Bobby was in a great mood. He had placed his Oscar award on the grand piano as his personal lucky charm, came on stage already dancing and was welcomed with an applause fit for a Messiah. The majority of the audience was young, and I hung out with a group of local students whose acquaintance I had made during the 3 hours we'd spent waiting for the concert to begin. Older fans expressed their pride and happiness to see a younger generation enjoying the music they have been so fond of for decades.  The atmosphere was great, it's just funny how Bob Dylan fans automatically think of themselves as a family. The set itself was great for dancing. Not only Dylan but the whole crowd spend the evening dancing. Especially enjoyable: "High Water", performed with a banjo player, "Blowin' In The Wind", performed with a violinist and the very suitable and danceable "Summery Days". Bob Dylan spent almost the whole concert playing grand piano which he is an expert at. From very delicate little melodies to tempestuous Jerry Lee Lewis style riffs, he can play everything. The audience went crazy! Poor Bob seemed to suffer a bit because he had to sit down to play grand piano - he would get up in the middle of a song to dance a bit and run around on stage.  There were two moments during the concert I won't forget -ever! 1. While every other song ended with a final drum shot, my personal favorite Simple Twist of Fate ended with some picking on Bobby's guitar. The audience went silent for two seconds. You could hear the birds sing in the trees. And then a gigantic applause started. 2. During Blowin' In The Wind, a flock of pigeons flew out of a tree nearby and flew across the meadow before disappearing somewhere behind the stage where the sun was setting. It looked so beautiful! The audience forgot singing along to the song for a moment while watching. So, all in all, this was one of the best evenings I've ever had. Wouldn't have missed it for the world! LONG LIVE BOB DYLAN!
