hi guys. i need to talk about the inappropriateness of some instructors or teachers. as some of you know, I go to kumon, a learning center for kids (reading and math), its also terrible. everyone hates it. the work is repetitive and they charge an excessive amount (at least at the one I go to). anyway, it was about 10 minutes before I left when a girl, maybe about 6-8 years old, started bawling very loudly, she was practically screaming and disturbing everyone. yes, i know that you arent supposed to do that. she was screaming and crying and yelling and the owner of kumon (ok some lore here: Mrs L, the older owner is the one I am talking abt right now, when I was about 7/8, she retired and Mrs E took over in her place. about last year, mrs. L came back and started running kumon connect. literally NO ON likes Mrs L. when I was younger, I didn't know how to do some work and when I asked for help, Mrs. L told the instructors not to help me? like who does that? and once, my friend was crying silently bc she was frustrated and Mrs. L ripped her kumon worksheets in half. not joking. i was there. anyways. about a year or less ago, Mrs. L started running kumon connect, basically digital kumon. and now she acts like SHE owns the place, even though she's supposed to work for Mrs. E). anyway Mrs L told Mrs. E to contact the crying girl's parents. and the thing she did, really shocked me. Mrs. L took out her phone and started RECORDING the girl. first of all, instructors CANNOT take unconsented videos of a crying child that is not right and will never be right. second of all, the parents didn't know that Mrs L was recording until after the girl stopped crying. she never even asked the parents. third of all, that girl was in a vulnerable state right there, she ALREADY had everyone's eyes on her and i bet she was super overwhelmed by the way she started crying/screaming/bawling/yelling even louder. that. that just. YOU CANT FREAKING DO THAT. i told my mom and my aunt and I hope at least one other kid who wasn't LAUGHING at that girl noticed Mrs. L taking that video and told their parents.

I need to be put in Kumon for enrichment

does anyone else do kumon because it is HELL. get me OUT of here i am CLAWING at the WALLS.
