Arii station in Kumano, Mie. I love how the building is sort of shaped like a giant A.
Plum blossoms in Kiwa, Kumano, Mie.
The big one, Kumano fireworks 2012. Every year one 600 meter firework is set off on Shichiri Mihama in beach in Kumanoshi, Mie, and this is it!
The eclipse over Shishiwa in Kumano, Mie. I have no idea if this is real, but it would be cool if it was :)

Kumano City in Mie's famous lion rock, Shishiwa. Not far from Kumano station, just go straight until you hit the ocean and turn right. You have to walk past it to the other side to get this view. Free. There is also a cafe and a parking lot on its good side.
Tategasaki is often listed as one of the major attractions in Kumano, Mie. It is an island that resembles a bunch of standing spears all around. Unfortunately, none of these pictures are it XP This is the view from the road - it's on the other side of that big island, which you have to hike down and all around to get to it and I have yet to try it. (You can get an idea from the map.) It's in Hobo-cho, Kumano, and while there are no close train stations, the nearest one would probably be Nigishima.
Hobo town is within Kumano city, Mie. I couldn't help be smirk at the name a bit, but it's a lovely little place. Far from route 42 and not near any train station, above Nigishima. It contains Tategasaki, one of Kumano's tourist attractions.
