Removing his hair was okay enough, little tough but it was fine. I took off his outfit to try and clean the stains off, didn't work and the fabric leaked yellow, that's why you always take outfits off vintage toy. The stain is also on his arm, looks like a booboo 😔. Anyway- then I dyed the collar with my blue hair dye in a lot of water to dilute it, that went perfectly. Next I tried to paint the blue hat stripe. The paint leaked and turned the hat green. I panicked for hours and couldn't ask anyone for help due to irl real important stuff going on but finally like 60 washes with soap worked and it was clean so I left that shit for last out of fear and I left him for a day or two... And made the mistake of making the next step glueing the hat back onto his head! And the single pompom because 3 wouldn't fit in a cute way. Then I left him for a day again bc I was stuck. I then removed SOME of the face, letting him keep his eyes and nose. I decided against a mouth because his face mold has a frown imprint so it'd mess up a smile and I don't like sad dolls. His eyes had been painted on by someone else too so they're probably his second eyes and I think that's cute. I varnished them... And the ink ran so I had to touch it up after. I ended up just colouring the hat part in with a fabric pencil as my mum made him his booties. It took them like 3 tries? No pattern obviously bc this is the only guy lol and I am very grateful.
