So am I the only person who has ever opened archive of our own anonymously just so I could give more kudos to a story I'd already given kudos to because the new chapter deserved its own kudos?

"You have already left kudos here. :)"
How about leaving a few words of thanks to the time the writers spent writing a fic, or a whole chapter in a day, yeah? Even just a simple, "I like your fic!" is enough to make a fanfic author happy and make their day, you know. You already spent 10 to 15 minutes at least for reading a chapter or a oneshot, the least a reader could do is tell the author if they liked the fic or not. Heck, even constructive criticism, or if you really can't describe what you want to say, even a heart emoji or a smile emoticon is welcome. Just. Tell. Authors. That. You. The reader. Have. Acknowledged. The fic. That we worked hard on. In other news, anon reviewers and commenters who tell the author what they think about a fic that they have read are lovely beings who grace the internet and should always be given with love (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))
