I... the things that I like without noticing them rule has struck again.
I always liked names with two vowels next to each other (probably because my name features that), but... it’s been almost a year and I just realized that the K boys from Ajin... all have two vowels- Kei, Kai, Kou.
I wonder if that helps make it easy for me to tell them apart.

Hey homie, could I ask a quick bit of input? I'm trying to think of a modernverse fantasy au for a keikaikou story and I was wondering what kinds of monsters you think kei kai and kou would be? You know their characters better than anyone I know so I just thought I'd ask what you thought was fitting:3
Heyo! I’ve seen a few takes on this idea in the past, and even one or two from ajin week this past week- I think Kei as a vampire (because he’s cold) and Kai or Kou as a werewolf (since they’re friendly and dog-like) is pretty popular. I think nezkovsou and maybe farbsturz were working in this au, you could try checking out their blogs/looking for their fics on AO3.
Personally, I think those are pretty good takes on the characters! If I were to come up with different something myself, let’s see... for Kei, they don’t quite match, but you could do Phoenix or Zombie, haha. I think Kai might be kind of like a genie in that he always shows up when you need him, whether or not it’s a good thing for him to show up. For Kou I honestly can’t think of anything better than werewolf- the puppy image is just too strong. Honestly, though, I think you could pick any monster and write the characters to fit!

I’m so glad I got your request, I loved your idea! I don’t usually draw much but it was a ton of fun. I wanted it to be viewable from all angles, so you can print it out (and/or cut out the middle circle) and hang it in any direction you like. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it!
