This is a toughie, because I feel like I’ve fallen in love with Kate at least half a dozen times! In her first episode, The Power of Three, when she swaggers into Amy and Rory’s house with her hands in her pockets and calls the troops the dogs... I mean it’s just lesbian catnip, isn’t it?
And then at the Tower in that episode when she says “Also, ravens of death” with that smug look on her face and then walks off - literally, even Amy is like: *swoon* me like you, you big macho boss lady.
Also when Kate takes Clara to the Black Archive. “Been here 10 years.” Look at her face! Just... same Clara. Same.
And when she pitched up in Death in Heaven and narrated her biography to Missy and the cybermen 😍😍😍😍😍😍
And when she was walking around Truth or Consequences brandishing a fire arm, in The Zygon Invasion...
And then of course they released UNIT: Extinction and we got four hours of Kate Stewart being brilliant and sarcastic and not liking labels, and I knew this was another Jemma Redgrave character who’d own me as badly as Eve Granger.
