     ❛ It’s not that simple. ❜ A plain response. Things never are in this world. Guren’s arms fold over his chest as he looks to her steadily. Her Seraphs are now in his hands --- or so it seems that way. However, Guren’s all too aware of Mika’s mutinous mindset. Distrust is alive and well within the world, and that holds true now as Guren’s brow raises skeptically. ❛ Mahiru promised you your brother, right? ❜ The question slips past his lips sounding more impatient than he intends.

It seems having fangs after all has some use to it! Well--- Being dead almost has it preps since it seems to fool these stupid vampires. Kill one and steal their clothes... Aven is still confused why Humans fear them so! Their so so easy to break it was ridiculous! 

With the hood of the cloak over his head, just shading enough to hide his mismatching eyes as he explore the small underworld kingdom these lowly vampires took a hold of. It was pretty uneventful, even lying to a few was too easy to get passed; so far, the only thing that seem to catch his interest is what these bloodsuckers called their Queen... She is pretty much a child if anyone is stupid enough to not look closer, but he isn’t any better, is he?

     ☾♔♚☽ If he hadn’t been grimacing, surely a smug would’ve been on his face in response to Krul’s inquiry. Ah, how he always found her lack of trust in him quite entertaining - though, he would have to admit, he felt the same about her. It simply couldn’t be helped. Same rank, same status - even same child-like appearance! Both possessing tremendous strength - and seemingly never looking at a situation eye-to-eye with one another. Whenever the two of them were involved, there always had to be conflict.

Not that any of that mattered - what was of importance was the situation now. 

“Krul - we’ve both been assigned to deal with the humans in this silly war of their’s - and both of us had gone about dealing it as two separate forces. Obviously, that’s not going to work.” He takes a deep breath, sighing for a moment as a scowl made itself prominent on his face, “And I’ve taken the liberty of asking you for an alliance, seeing how you didn’t seem too fond of the idea to propose yourself.” The last part was meant to be a jab at Krul, but nonetheless, he was sincere about the proposal. 

“Unlike those you’ve surrounded yourself with, I know when to take things seriously, and certainly I’m not one to try underhanded moves to uproot you from your standing. Certainly, I am a better ruler than you, but after me - you’re most likely the most reliant and most capable of handling a country like Japan. I would trust no one else to take your place. Let me make that clear with you.”

Lest didn’t even blink at his own statement, only moving on as if brushing off his own words, “And about my ‘terms’, as you put it - ” With Krul leaning in slightly, he decided to push it further by leaning closer - to close the gap Krul didn’t to keep him at bay, “Don’t let Ferid know of any of our plans. Simple as that. Like I said, Krul - I don’t exactly trust those you surround yourself with, unfortunately.”

He stares at the hand that grips his wrist, eyes venturing back up to hers. Gone is the icy disposition, the silent wall behind which he normally hid himself; instead he looks confused, almost as he might have in younger days before he’d buried his heart. 

The answer to her question is plain, not because he remembers, but just in how it had been asked, in how she seemed to be angry that he couldn’t tell her more. The harder he tried to remember, the more he found his mind a haze, a fog that hid away something he felt as though he shouldn’t touch. As though were he to reach out, the memories he would find would cripple him under their weight. 

“Your blood...” he repeats almost to himself, staring at his hand once again. Vampires... that’s right, he was a vampire like her. She clearly knew him, seemed to care in some way or she wouldn’t be upset, right? “I’m sorry. I don’t remember. I know there’s- there’s something I have to do. Someone I-” A searing pain split across his head and he grips his temple. 

My, my, my that was quite a performance. You should treat your pets with more care.
