Another hardware obscurity appeared in the form of the "Supercharger," which would offer 6,272 bytes of RAM for the Atari 2600 VCS and the ability to load inexpensive games from cassette tape (although the article explained nobody other than its manufacturer had rushed to produce games for it yet...)
