The door explodes forward with such force that it cracks the doorframe, “KRILE!”
Krile, now laying upon the floor, covered in papers and books, “ELIZABETH, PLEASE DON’T DO THAT.”
Lizzy glances at the doorframe and winces. She plays with the door for a second, testing it’s stability, “Uhhhhhhh woops, sorry about that.” her attention turns towards Krile, as she rushes over and helps clean up the mess she caused, “Krile,” a smile dances upon her lips, “I wanna bake a cake with you.”
Krile sits back in the chair as Lizzy continues picking up the flurry of papers. “For any particular reason, or just because you like being near me?” she teases.
Lizzy’s smile grows bigger, somehow, “Cause I like being near you, and we haven’t cooked together in a while,” she places the stack of papers on Krile’s desk. Then she hops up and sits on Krile’s desk, her oversized tail accidentally knocking over the stack of papers she just placed. Lizzy does not notice this.
Krile looks at the stack of papers, and frowns slightly, then her attention shifts back to her girlfriend on the table, “Sure, we can bake a cake together. May I ask you get off the desk?”
Lizzy does so, however, her tail knocks over two more stacks of books as she does.
Krile sighs.
“Let’s go now, I do not know when you planned to do this, but we are doing it now. To avoid more damage.” Krile grabs her coat and begins walking to the door, pulling her hood over her head before reaching the doorknob.
Lizzy follows her, tail whipping happily back and forth, knocking over a couple chairs and making a loud clattering that echoes for a moment, she looks back at the destruction she’s wrought against Krile’s office, “Oh...I’m sorry…” she jogs over to Krile’s side, as they leave the office in shambles.
Lizzy stands in the middle of her kitchen proudly, ingredients lay neatly organized on the counter, already measured out and ready to go. Krile grabs the step stool from next to the cabinet, so she can reach the counter easier, she comments on Lizzy’s organizational skills, “I’m impressed! I imagined we would be needing to go to the market, and yet here you have gone and measured everything out.” She smiles at Lizzy, causing her to blush in response.
“Yea! I wanted the evening to be about us, not about logistical things.” she beams at Krile, and begins opening her recipe book, searching for the cake recipe she just had open a bell ago. After a few moments of flicking through pages, she finds it, and places her book on the counter.
The two begin working on the cake, Krile begins to whistle, Lizzy joins in with humming. Their echoes preventing them from bumping into each other as they work on separate tasks, and Lizzy cuddling Krile when there’s only one task. Their aprons slowly becoming more and more dirtied by deconstructed cake.
As the cake sits in the oven, Krile calls out to Lizzy, which normally is fine, however Lizzy’s echo alarms her for a brief moment as she turns and is smacked in the face by a handful of the powdered cake mix.
Lizzy blinks a couple times, her face fully covered while a cloud lingers in front of her, “Alright well now I gotta get you back.” Lizzy smirks, and grabs what’s left from the bowl.
However, as she lobs the chunk at Krile, she dodges, and the cake mixture hits the poor sleeping red panda by the aquarium behind Krile. Tango grumpily moves to Lizzy’s bedroom, clearly dissatisfied with being covered in powder.
As Krile is distracted with Tango, Lizzy scoops her up in her arms. Krile fakes protesting, “No!! Not fair! Unhand me!”
Lizzy begins kissing Krile’s face, covering it with cake powder as Krile laughs.
After they calm down, Krile snuggles up into Lizzy, still cradled in her arms, “I love you, Lizzy.”
Lizzy places a kiss on Krile’s forehead, “I love you too!”
