I'm currently in the process of having a new guitar built for me by luthier and tapper extraordinaire Kevin Siebold. Here are some progress pics from the last few weeks It's going to be a hybrid Warr-inspired touchstyle guitar. 12 strings, uncrossed, tuned to 4ths: C# F# B E A D || E A D G C F 30" scale, neck thru, ambrosia maple body, Santos mahogany fretboard, canary, purpleheart, and Padauk in the neck, two truss rods. Semi-chambered, it will have two sets of fishman piezo-electric pups for each channel to give it a kind of acoustic tone. The body shape and scale length are by request to accommodate a hybrid tapping/classical fingerpicking style that I use. Kevin knows what he's doing, he works quick and for absurdly reasonable prices. His manifesto is that his instruments may not look the works of art you'll get paying thousands of dollars more, but they will function and play well. That's all I'm looking for. Can't wait to get this guy in my hands
