Kitt Peak Moonrise The full moon rises behind the Kitt Peak National Observatory Mayall 4-m Telescope. This is a single image, not a composite, photographed on 17 March 2022 at a distance of nearly 10 miles (16 km). The moonrise was photographed using a Pentax K-3ii DSLR, smc P-DA* 300mm F4 ED IF SDM lens, and HD Pentax-DA AF Rear Converter 1.4x AW teleconverter, at ISO 100, 1/10 s, f/8. Planning for the alignment was conducted using The Photographer's Ephemeris, and editing was performed in Lightroom Classic.

I never thought I’d relate to a telescope so much, but here we are
i think i messed up KPNO-Tau 12… i thought she was gonna be a bit smaller than SIMP0136 but atp, they might as well be the same size
this is what i got for her mass n size
also shes just a bebeh (apparently she’s still “young” and her size is not compact and stable ??)
and for my sake i’ll make her slightly smaller than SIMP0136, but inconsistently..? idk yet but she’ll definitely be smaller than SIMP

also i do have a design for her (and a simp design) but i think i’ll post them tmr
