Was this a memory or a thought fabricated by Kosuke's mind? The sight of beloved traits relaxed by sleep, the nestled frame against him, both threatening to blur with passing time… Still, he returned to it often as a light in the dark, for comfort, for what it meant to him – and perhaps to the other.
In honour of @fugitivehues' flagged #KissArtFebruary piece, in hope it can cast light on a piece that is unfairly hidden from unsuspecting dashes.

He had to admit that this was an unfamiliar feeling. Never had Hiwatari experienced this before. Nor had any of the Hikaris or the fellow artworks even dared. Being pulled down gently by this human to lay beside him with a smile…In a way, it doesn’t give him a feeling of discomfort. “...Hiwatari-san?” There’s a slight look of confusion on Niwa-san’s face. Hearing the other’s voice, slides his usual smile back in place. “It’s nothing to worry about.” Hiwatari’s tone was even as he spoke. Not wanting the man to see any other signs that anything else was wrong, he simply steered the conversation to another topic.

The bespectacled man known to most as Hiwatari Kei quickly surveyed the scenery with a smile. “It’s a shame that Niwa-san isn’t here.” The wind was blowing some leaves off the branch of a nearby maple tree. Perhaps, the other’s eyes would have lit up at the sight. Or he’d practically trip over some stray branches or so, seeming quite flustered with a “S-Sorry, I got distracted.” That was Niwa-san’s unique charm after all. “Though if you had known that ‘I’ wasn’t human, would you still treat me the same as you have been doing?” Kei commented, eyes closing with that same smile. “And yet…I’d like for us to continue meeting as always.”
Summer rain - Kosukei!
The sound of pouring rain had gone on for hours.
The two men had chosen to stay underneath a nearby bus shelter.
“It doesn’t seem as though it’s stopping any time soon…” Kosuke said, watching the water drops hit the ground.
“Seems like it.” The bespectacled man answered calmly.
“I’d offer you an umbrella but…” The other scratched the back of his head with a sheepish smile.
“There’s no need to worry, Niwa-san.” Hiwatari reassured him.
“I don’t really have anything scheduled for the remainder of the day.”
“Still…It feels as though I’ve inconvenienced you, Hiwatari-san.”
Perhaps, the rain shall stop some time soon.
