When the no-nonsense perfect honour student Gakushuu Asano went on a whole side quest to prove to you that he is NOT, in fact, a boring person like you told him he was, and that he can certainly act like a normal middle schooler... by cracking jokes and making puns đ

When real life throws predicament after predicament at you, it really lowers your morale for the hobby side of life. It's more delayed than I would've liked, but here's Part 6. Once again, thanks to @blazardragon for help with proofreading.
Also, after checking the original Japanese text once more, I seemed to have mistook something in Part 1.
To recap, I had mentioned that Leaâs mother came from a region of the Norgo Kingdom that connects it with the rest of Europe, of which said region is embroiled in conflict. What I didnât realise when doing Part 1 was that the conflict hadnât ended yet, and is in fact still ongoing.
Mentioning this in order to clear up something with the motive behind Leaâs assassination
Previously on Korotan C: Princess Lea of Norgo Kingdom visits Kunugigaoka for a Debate Rally, but sheâs decided to sneak out of her hotel and into the city. But after fending off one hitman after another, Class 3-E and Asano Gakushuu are close to escorting her to safety at the Norgo Kingdom Embassy.
The group consisting of Asano, Lea and Class E swiftly entered the street where the Embassy is situated. As they entered their last stretch, Nagisaâs phone rang. Itâs a call from Kataoka.
âWait! Donât enter the Embassy yet!!â shouted Nagisa to the riders in front before returning to the call, nodding to Kataokaâs response.
ââŠâŠâŠâŠthe mastermind behind the assassination is the Ambassador!?â
Furthermore, the Board Chairman is also present, along with the police.
Everyone grew solemn at the turn of events. They were so close to succeeding, and the mastermind turns out to be in the home base.
Karma though is optimistic. Hearing that the police are present, it also means that they donât have to worry about any hitmen for the moment.
âWeâve fled all this way already, thereâs nothing worse that could happen to us,â he urged in a relaxed manner.
âWe have no need to flee! And if there really is a mastermind, then weâll just strip his façade straight off!â declared Asano.
Hearing that the Ambassador of her own country is the mastermind, Leaâs face turned pale and her heart uneasy.
â[Weâre going in now, are you prepared?]â asked Asano.
â[Yes, Iâm fine, if there really is a mastermind, then I shall verify it with my own eyes,]â resolved Lea.
At the entrance of the Embassy are countless police on emergency standby. Beyond the entrance is the Ambassador, plus security guards and the Board Chairman.
When the door opens, Leaâs company part from their bikes and walk onto the lawn.
â[Princess Lea! Iâm glad that youâre safe!]â As the Ambassador welcomes her with open arms, Asano pulls Lea behind him.
âAsano-kun, do you realise what you are doing? Hurry and bring the Princess over,â admonished the Board Chairman, his expression even colder than usual.
âI fully understand what I am doing, I am just respecting the Princessâ own wishes, and I was calm and rational when deciding on this course of action,â echoed Asanoâs frank answer across the Embassy grounds. Seeing him like this, Lea looks worried.
The Board Chairman senses that thereâs some form of intimacy between the two of them.
âHo? You were supposed to be the Princessâ escort, and yet you brought her out from the hotel and provided openings for the enemy. You even ignored my counsel and allowed danger to befall her. And you claim these actions to be calm and rational?â
âThis is the result of me placing utmost priority on her safety and her point of view, my actions were completely based on reason.â
The Board Chairman snickers at Asanoâs rhetoric.
âAsano-kun, do you truly swear that you took action with reason as your basis?â
âOf course!â
âAnd are you sure that it wasnât personal desire that triumphed over reason?â
The Board Chairmanâs eyes are gleaming with a sharp iciness, as though they can see through to the deepest pits of his sonâs heart.
âYou exposed the Princess of the Norgo Kingdom to danger, and you caused a crisis to the friendly relationship between Japan and the Kingdom. Let us hear how you intend to bear responsibility to the consequences, Asano-kun!â
Under his questioning, Asano can do naught but helplessly lower his gaze, fists clenched as he endures humiliation coming from his own father.
Bearing witness to the dire situation between father and son, Nagisa and co hold their breath, his thoughts racing for a way to help the princess and Asano.
An idea came to him, and he asks Karma for the phone from the very first hitmen that they took down.
âHold it!â
Just then, a piercing voice crossed the quiet Embassy. Its owner is Fuwa, stepping her way into the scene with heavy footsteps, with Kataokaâs special ops team following behind.
Suddenly, she points her finger. âAmbassador, there is no need for you to greet the Princess, because your plot to take advantage of this foreign trip and assassinate her has been exposed!â
The Ambassador has an astonished look on his face, eyebrows raised. âWhat nonsense are you speaking of at such a critical time!? Do you have any proof to back your words?â
As if in response, Fuwa raised her right hand, sending a signal to Takebayashi who is hidden in the courtyard. He then triggered something on his phone, and the phones of everyone on the scene chimed with ringtones of all varieties.
Not understanding whatâs happening, the Ambassador brought out his own phone from his breast pocket. It shows an email from an unknown sender, the contents of which is a log of the Ambassadorâs numerous scans for the geolocation of Leaâs phone. Seeing everyoneâs look of surprise, Fuwa lets out a âhuhuhuâ laugh of satisfaction, and begins her explanation while looking at the email.
âThe email youâre all seeing now is proof of the Ambassadorâs assassination of the Princess. His unauthorised inquiry of Princess Leaâs cellphone GPS, as well as hidden software that he had secretly installed. As a result, the princess was ambushed three times.â
â[HowâŠwhen did this!?]â Hearing Asanoâs translation, Lea grips her phone in anger.
Off to the side, Itona has got the hitmanâs phone from Nagisa and is straining to break past its security lock. They tried using the greases left on the screen to deduce the password, but to no avail, and they ended up exhausting the attempts allowed by the system.
He has one last trick on his sleeves: he decided to exchange the SIM card from his phone with the one on the hitmanâs phone, and then entered his own password.
Meanwhile, Fuwa continues her graceful pursuit. âFurthermore, the Ambassadorâs personal bank account has had multiple expenditures of considerable sums, paid in American dollars. Surely theyâre reward payments to your hitmen? If you want to see some concrete data, Iâve got them right here.â
From her pocket, she waves out a USB thumb drive. This intelligence on the Ambassadorâs personal account was discovered by Irina in his room, which she infiltrated using her intimate connection with one of the local diplomats.
But even when presented with the facts, the Ambassador isnât as rattled as expected. âTrue, I installed the software onto the Princessâ phone. But itâs for the Princessâ protection, since she has the bad habit of going missing all the time, and for that I must beg her for forgiveness. However, it is not proof of my assassination of the Princess. Moreover, what reason would I have to assassinate her?â
Fuwa wasnât phased by the Ambassadorâs duplicity. âA reason to assassinate her? Of course you have one! Ambassador, you are the illegitimate son of the previous King, and for the right of succession to the throne the Princess must disappear, that is your conspiracy!â
ââŠâ Ambassador.
ââŠâ Lea.
ââŠâ Nagisa.
ââŠâ Karma.
ââŠâ Board Chairman.
âI mean, an illegitimate son of royalty who is also a pretty boy being the final boss is a staple of Shonen manga!!â nodded Fuwa proudly to herself.
âUhâŠâŠâŠ. Fuwa-san, donât you think you jumped way too far out there?â
While all who are present went silent, Itona lightly taps Nagisa on the shoulder. He turns around and sees him with the phone. âThe lock has been bypassed. This is checkmate.â
âThanks!!â Nagisa takes the phone and went to Fuwaâs side.
âEveryone, weâve been by the Princessâ side since she was ambushed by hitmen. This is the phone from the very first hitman, and now Iâll call the most recent number from its call log.â
Nagisa dials the phone, and a âbeep beep beepâ ringtone resounds, its origin coming from the phone thatâs in the Ambassadorâs hand. All on the scene turns to look towards his face.
âYour phoneâs ringing.â Nagisa moves the phone over his ear, his words directed at the Ambassador. His face breaks out in cold sweat and is refraining from answering the call. When the phone went to voicemail the ringing stops, but Nagisa just ends his call and dials the same number once more.
âWell Ambassador, let us talk with our phones.â Looking at Nagisa, the Ambassador sees that his gaze is full of bloodlust, as though he has his prey cornered.
âS**t!!â The Ambassador drops his benevolent façade and exposes a malevolent expression, and out of the blue he pulls out a handgun from his waist.
âYou bast**ds, donât think that this is o-â
Before he can finish, his handgun drops to the ground. The person who has been standing next to him, the Board Chairman, made a tight clutch on his wrist, forcing his grip on the weapon loose.
âLet go!!â The Ambassador struggles, when suddenly, his image changed in an instant. His handsome blond haircut was shaved into a top knot. Without thinking, Nagisa and co. laughed out loud. He didnât know whatâs going on, but confused by the laughter all around him, he touches his head and reacts with rage. Looking around, Nagisa sees that expected yellow silhouette up on the roof of the Embassy.
âIntentionally harming my students is unforgivable, so Iâve helped tidy up your hairstyle and gave you an actual top knot, nurufufufu.â Korosensei then throws the severed hair into the air, blond strands scattering above the grounds.
The Board Chairman has the escaping Ambassador held on the ground.
âItâs best if Japanese officials donât lay a hand on the Ambassador. Have no fear, the laws of our country will judge him.â The employees of the Embassy surround him and cuffs his hands behind his back.
Lea runs over. â[Why did you want to kill me!? Tell me!]â
â[Itâs because you just wouldnât stop prattling on about that sh*tty peace of yours!]â
â[What are you talking about, why would I be killed for talking about peace!?]â
â[As you are well aware, the Norgo Kingdom has become divided over whether to use force to settle the conflict. As a diplomat, had I gotten the country to mobilise and intervene in the conflict, I stood to gain a profit.]â
â[What did you say? You wish for motherâs homeland to continue suffering under the fires of war? I cannot allow that!]â
â[See, thatâs exactly it, those pretty words of yours are proving to be a real hindrance for us!]â
â[Iâm a hindrance for you?]â
â[Why of course! A most bothersome hindrance! You enjoy popular support among the people, and when someone like that goes on and on about peace, the results couldnât be more frustrating for us!]â
With that, the employees transported the Ambassador deep into the Embassy, leaving Lea confounded at what she heard.
And so, as Nagisa and co cheer on with the joy of their success, Lea stood to the side with a smile to herself.
â[I see, I finally understand, just what sort of power I hold.]â
Although she is frightened by what she heard, Lea has now realised just what she means to her country. From the bottom of her heart, a newfound confidence surges out.
(Everyone! Do you all remember when I said I would translate the novel from Korotan A with my French edition ? It was more than a year barely a few months ago! Time sure fly fast ! Korotan D have been published quite recently, so why not go back to the first volume?
...I wanted to translate this novel about learning English, but itâs actually my own skills that needs improvements. So, a big thank you at @blazardragon for correcting my many mistakes! )
Prologue :
Nagisa counts the Xâs on his copy.
âAh, damn...â
By the end of the sixth period, he have been given back his English test. The exercice was simply to tell in English about how yesterday went. He had been praised for the content, but he still got four Xâs. All spelling mistakes.
"I can't believe I fell for those!"
On Nagisaâs test was drawn an octopus, Korosenseiâs alter ego. The animal crosses its tentacles into an X.
âNo spelling mistake. Never!â
Nagisa sighs and look away from his test.
Chapter 1 : Mondayâs spelling errors
In 3-E, after class, Karasuma-sensei holds a special training session for volunteers. While the students in their tracksuits went to the courtyard, Isogai asked Maehara a question.
âMaehara, youâre not coming?
-Nah, Iâm busy.
-âBusyâ, you mean with a girl? Donât get into trouble!
-Trouble goes hand in hand with love. See you later!â
Seeing him quickly walk away, Isogai muttered.
âHe really didnât learn his lesson, that one! Nagisa, Iâm going...â
He spoke to Nagisa, the only one still in the classroom.
âAh, right...
-Something wrong ?â asked Isogai.
âNothing. Iâm coming.
-Come quickly, Nagisa! If you loiter around, weâll start without you.â
When Isogai exited the room, Nagisa took out the sheet that had been given back to him.
âI canât believe I made four spelling mistakes...â Nagisa said to himself.
Korosensei suddenly appeared.Â
âYouâre sighing, what happened?â
Nagisa fell out of his chair.
âWoah!
-What happened? I heard a sigh from the teacherâs room, so I came immediately.
-You truly have a good hearing for someone who doesnât have ears!
-The errors you made this time seem to have discouraged you. But thereâs no time to feel bad about it!â
Korosensei handed him a booklet.
âLetâs make this week about strengthening your English vocabulary!â
On the handmade book was written âKorotanâ.
ââKorotanâ?
-The vocabulary textbook that Korosensei -who couldnât stay looking at the 3-E class without doing anything- made in three hours with love, at Mach 20 speed. So, âKorotanâ for short.
-Itâs not as heavy as the school trip textbook, but thatâs a super long title!
-You shouldnât underestimate it. This handbook has all the vocabulary on which you could make mistakes. In a week you will have a test, so you need to learn it throughly.
-Ah!â
Nagisaâs face went dark.
âWithout physical strength, training with a knife or a gun is useless. In the same way, you all canât win against class A without mastering the basic English vocabulary. Come on, you need to strengthen your English skills!
-Ok!â
When Nagisa raised his head, Korosensei had already left. There was only the âKorotanâ that he received.Â
The voice of teacher Karasuma could be heard from the courtyard:
âToday we will begin with walking on poles!
-It already started!? I need to go!â reacted Nagisa.
He placed on his desk the handbook given to him by Korosensei and changed his clothes in a hurry. In his tracksuit, he was prepared to get out of the room when he turned around and threw a last glance at the book.
âOne week... Will I be able to succeed...â
âTerasaka, how long are you gonna be stubborn?â Muramatsu asked on the way.
âWhat? Iâm not being stubborn!
-Then just go to the octopusâs supplementary lessons. Your grades will get better.â
Seeing Muramatsu snicker, Terasaka started to get angry.
âYou guys are painful, like some sort of octopus worshipper.
-Youâre taking this too seriously.â replied Yoshida. âIf you wanna assassinate the octopus, wouldnât it be better to get close to the target by being more friendly?
-Tsk...â
Annoyed by Yoshidaâs words, Terasaka kicked a stone on the roadside. A tentacle stopped it before it rolled down the slope.Â
âYouâre in a bad mood, Terasaka!â
Terasaka was surprised by Korosenseiâs sudden appearance in front of him.
âW...What?!
-Ha ha ! He really appeared while we were talking about him !â Yoshida cracked up.
While surprised, Muramatsu and Yoshida found the situation humorous.
âWhat do you want from me, sensei?â
This was irritating for Terasaka.
âHereâs a gift for you, Terasaka.
-A gift ?â
He observed for a long time what Korosenseiâs tentacle was holding out. It was wrapped in paper, on which was drawn an octopus making a cross with its tentacles.
âWhatâs that? A copy of my test from earlier?â Terasaka unfolded the paper while grumbling. âWait, thatâs a list of English vocabulary!
-Nurufufu! Itâs not a mere list. Itâs the âKorotanâ, one of my inventions. Follow it and eliminate one of your weak points with me.
-Iâm not up for itâ replied Terasaka.
âEven if you stop for an instant now, you will keep going forward.
-What are you saying now?â Terasaka replied to Korosensei, angry.
âIsnât that a quote from the TV show âKinpachi-senseiâ, is it !?â asked Yoshida.
âAbsolutely! Yoshida, youâre knowledgeable when it comes to old TV shows.â
Strangely, the discussion heated up joyfully between Yoshida and Korosensei.

As always, there will be a short story included in the book and this time around -- fitting with the bookâs theme -- it focuses on the former members of Class E in their third and final year of high school.
Like with the previous books, the novel section is written by Atarou Kuma (äč éș» ç¶é Kuma AtarĆ) and supervised by Matsui, who also provides the illustrations. The actual educational content is supervised by Koudai Abe (éżéšćčžć€§ Abe KĆdai) from University of Tokyo.
Hi hi out of curiosity who exactly is puey? Iâd never heard of him before seeing your art despite engaging with a ton of assclass content over the years and I think (?) heâs not an oc based off some of the panels youâve posted. Am I just like. Forgetting his existence or smth? Sorry if this is a weird question shdhdhhdhd
So AssClass has this series of school textbooks called Korotan and like you'd expect from textbooks, they're meant for educational purposes and in this case, it is to teach English.
There are four Korotan books (from A to D) and each book contains a spin-off novel set in between canon events. Each novel always had something to do with learning the English language or simply becoming more proficient at it. The novels weren't written by Matsui but he did give them the green light and even drew the accompanying illustrations himself.
Puey is from the Korotan B novel, which took place just after Leader time and before the parkour incident. He's a young southeast asian assassin who was sent to kill Koro-sensei, and temporarily became a 3-E student when he failed his first attempt. His story is all about learning to communicate better with others, trusting his companions and combining strengths with everyone when he finds himself struggling. Isogai and Chiba practically adopted him lol.
And speaking of those two, there was a moment in korotan B that severely convinced me that Chiba had a crush on Isogai.
He's very much a canon character since he came and went, that his story didn't leave any weird shifts in the actual pacing of the series.
Puey... had a lot of racist undertones in the way he was portrayed in the original korotan b novel, even if you add the headcanon that he's part of a tribe.
And as a southeast asian myself, I simply went crazy with the headcanons and the pinoy-coding just to be comfortable in making fan content of him, since it's not everyday you'd find a SEA character in the series you adore.
Aside from the Korotan books, there's also the Korosuu, which is the sole math textbook. Same format and everything.
Scroll down to the bottom of this masterlist I made a while back to see all the translated novels if you're curious đ
