Fiery quail’s eggs tapas
This is really easy to make and frankly if you’re feeling like a quick snack for yourself just switch it up for a chicken egg. I slow fried the quail eggs in margarine, bad i know but I shouldn’t have butter. I then mixed some rocket n thin strips of cucumber with a lil sesame oil n lemon. I placed it on some toasted whole wheat bread with a lil tahini. Topped with the egg which I then saltnpeppered w/ some sesame seeds. The red oil is from this chilli black paste I got in the asian supermarket, but you can replace with Sriracha if you want too!Â
Korean Sauce and Paste
One popular spicy Korean sauce is called "gochujang." Gochujang is a fermented chili paste made from red chili peppers, glutinous rice, fermented soybeans, and salt. It has a deep, spicy, and slightly sweet flavor that is commonly used in Korean cuisine.
Gochujang can be used as a condiment or a base for various Korean dishes. It is often used in marinades for grilled or stir-fried meat, as a dipping sauce for vegetables, or as a flavor enhancer in stews and soups. Some popular dishes that incorporate gochujang include bibimbap, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), and bulgogi (marinated grilled beef).
If you're looking to make a spicy Korean sauce at home, you can combine gochujang with other ingredients like soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and sugar to create a flavorful sauce. The proportions can vary depending on your taste preferences and the specific dish you're making.
Please note that gochujang can be quite spicy, so adjust the amount according to your spice tolerance. It's always a good idea to taste the sauce as you go and adjust the flavors to your liking.
