You have no clue how much my brain has been imagining a mutlifandom music video set to In This Moment's 'Black Widow'. Had a lot of false starts in making this one but finally, after so many years I have put my ideas together to create the very thing I have been imagining in my head for years! Think of this piece as the 'edgier' version of the 'Everytime We Touch' AMV/GMV I made, which you can see here!
The only piece of footage that is considered 'my own' is the Mortal Kombat 11 footage. The rest of the footage come from RWBY series, NMH2, Fairy Tail, Overwatch, which many of them come from sources that are from sites on the high seas.

I don't often talk about my mortal kombat self inserts, especially because they are more so vague concept ideas as opposed to fully fledged characters, but thanks to MK Armageddon's Create-a-Kharacter, I have been able to use this as an outlet to come up with more fleshed out self inserts, both as actual characters and in their design (or at least what the existing assets can allow me to make).
Anyway, this character is Kameron, who is a member of the Red Dragon, a criminal organisation run by Daegon from the OG MK timeline. She will always be part of the Red Dragon no matter the timeline, but she will usually betray whoever is leading the group and set herself up as the new leader of the group.
In the OG Timeline, she's Daegon's right hand woman who can get the job done. She's mostly pretty cold hearted, she's not incapable of empathy but you'd have to be not involved in her line of work. To her business is business. Anyways, she betrays Daegon after he decided to have his Guardian dragon, Caro, be used as a tool for his conquest and search of finding Blaze, a fire entity that has been tasked to fight the strongest combatant for the fate of the realms (that's a condensed version btw).
To her, using a magnificent creature like a dragon as mere tool rubbed her the wrong way, and in defiance she often did her best to comfort Caro. Now I should stress that technically Kameron is still an 'evil' person, and Caro doesn't even like her himself, but he does appreciate how she's kind of the only one in the criminal organisation that actually cares about his wellbeing. Even thought she can't really do much to help the injuried dragon, but even just a conversation between the two is enough to put the dragon at ease. In fact Caro is kinda the one that planted the idea that Kameron could be a be better leader than Daegon, and lead the Red Dragon into glory, because at that point the Daegon Caro knew is not the same person anymore. And considering how Daegon is trying to covet the prize that is the location of Blaze, he thinks that... maybe taking him out is for the best of the nine realms as what are the chances of him causing armageddon.
In the new timeline, she's in a relationship with D'Vorah. I really wish I had details as to how they met and fell in love, because honestly it's been a long while since I read the MK X comic which details a little bit about D'Vorah's origin. I'm not even sure what type of relationship dynamic they would have other than maybe there is... some mutual attraction to each other. Like none of the bug stuff creeps out Kameron, if anything she's weirdly fascinated by her, and in turn D'Vorah is think "Why is she not repulsed to This One?". I will say think it would be neat if they had a lovey-dovey relationship that grosses people out (absolutely done on purpose).
Reboot timeline? Honestly IDK man, I guess Liu Kang just made her the de-facto leader of the Red Dragon group in his timeline expect its like. a Corporate Business venture or something IDK.
if i post mk11 gameplay footage, i feel the need to say I jump so much because the mobility is THAT awful, not even back dash or forward dash helps you all that much either. so like. if you see me performing horribly you know why. also even like. the kombos are kinda hard to pull off on tougher CPU opponents.
MK11’s writing is… all over the place, like even with the by the numbers expected stuff there is some pretty good bright spots of good writing and characterisation. I’m only on chapter 5 atm, which is Johnny’s Chapter and you can really tell how much they genuinely understand his character and growth as a person.
some spots I’m not so keen on, like I like Jade but why did they have to tie her romantically to Kotal. Like I don’t remember that being brought up in MKX or even in the comics, like I know they would have some acquaintanceship being in Shao Kahn’s court, but genuinely I don’t…. See the romantic stuff, I don’t hate it more so that I kinda wished there was more build up to it in MKX or even in just the MKX comics, so that it would make more sense here in mk11.

MK11 story mode so far is… alright I guess? I’m only in the second/maybe bordering the third chapter but it’s… okay so far. Like pretty by the numbers time-y wime-y stuff.
