Our part in this project was the frost effect on the flower petals. These frosts are created using a chemical reaction, not actually "frosted" in the low temperature.

For this project, we spent 2-3 days to perform a several tests before the photo shoot. Because the frost is a result of the chemical reaction, there were several factors involved that could change the final output. We tested different combination of the chemicals, different ratio, and different application methods. We also observed the change in the output with time to find out the time period needed for the best output to form. The frost needed to be in its best condition at the time of the shooting, so it was critical to know the right timing to start frosting the petals.

According to the test result, we applied frost on two different sets of flowers. We also made the model of the flowers for this project just in case. The petals of the flowers were small, there was a concern that the effects might not show well enough. However, the models were not used in the end. All of the frosts were applied on the petals of the real flower.
