This looked different than their bikes. The levitators seemed to be built into the bike itself as part of the fore section and rear section. Instead of leaning forwards the rider was leaned back while gripping onto the controls as the forward section looked to be like an angled battering ram. And on the back of the bike was a spewing stream of roiling hot green plasma from two engines. The rider of the new bike pulled off his helmet and placed it in his lap. The rider’s eyes were hidden by a pair of polarized glasses that were adhered to the sides of his head right at the temples. His hair was a messy dark brown with two tufts sticking up slightly on the left side of his head. And he wore a verdant green jacket and a mossy green shirt. On the side of the jacket was a foreign symbol and one of the bikers swore before screaming to the others.

 “Commonwealth! We got one of those Commonwealth guys on our ass!!”

 The biker with the chain growled. “Well get rid of him then! We got a job to do!!”

 With a grin and nod two of the bikers reached into a pouch on the sides of their bikes and pulled out a dark brown bottle. They extended the bottles into the flame of the jet engines, a rag stuck into the neck of the bottle catching flame. With an over shoulder toss the bottles arced towards the Commonwealth biker. Both bottles shattered into flames. A pool rushed outwards and the flames grew higher and hotter. The bikers glanced over their shoulders and waited for the following screams of the tailing adversary. A loud high pitched roar got their attention as they looked up to see the bike coming back down to the ground after having been launched upwards by the rider. All eyes jolted towards the Commonwealth biker as he drew a weapon with one hand and aimed it directly at one of the bikers. A deep bass sound followed by the crack of thunder followed the discharge of the weapon as one of the bikers got a face full of green plasma and careened off to the side of the highway.

 With a simple motion he swept the weapon towards the other bikers and fired off two more shots to clear a path for his bike as they fell away. The commonwealth biker jammed his weapon into a holster as he throttled the bike forwards, gaining speed to the other bikers. A hand signal came from the lead and the others nodded in understanding. Chains were tossed out and three of the bikers lashed the chains around tight on their bikes while the others checked to make sure the chains were secure. On cue four of the bikers shut off the jet engines and spun in place. The chains clanged hard but kept the four bikers moving as they all pulled out their heavier weapons and clicked them on. With maniacal gleeful laughter they started laying down sprays of laser like plasma bolt fire onto the Commonwealth biker. He dodged and weaved through the blasts and managed to dodge onto a side path of the highway to an overhead portion.

  “Give me a map of this overpass.” He commanded while tapping one of the connecting ports of the Headset.

 A computer voice entered his mind. “Unable to comply. Use of city resources and wireless connection ports in the city is limited. Please state your name and verifiable credentials.”

 “Rasmot. Captain Rasmota Akra Korisar, Dracicannan Commonwealth, Captain of the XMC-2 Class battleship the Kohart Tankata. Crystal File is 58 dash 8642648. Accept and confirm.”

 There was a pause before the voice returned. “Accepted and Confirmed. What is your business in the city on this planet, Officer?”

 “I am here to stop the trafficking of Illegal arms on your world. These weapons are being trafficked to a large corporation that does not have legal rights to own them.” Rasmot glanced over the side of the overpass with a grimace. “Worse yet, the corporation truck is being robbed by a street-gang.”

 Another pause. “Please standby. We are sending a UAV to identify your claims.”

 “Do make it quick.” He growled and watched the UAV come into view and do a quick fly over. “So. Am I going to get that map yet?”

 Instead of the computer voice he seemed to have gotten a hold of someone real. “We’ve done a scan of the vehicle in question. From what we can see, there is definitely something hot in there. What’re we looking at?”

 “Illegally tampered Grekar bio-weapons. I’ve been tracking these weapons for a few systems now.” He tried his best to navigate the sparse traffic and talk at the same time. “These weapons are not meant to be in this region of space. Worse the tampering may have caused a radiation leak. These weapons are both a danger to the user and your population.” Rasmot tried his best to get a clear shot but had to dodge either a bike or a car along the way. “So unless you want several millions of people dying from radiation poisoning, give me that map.”

 The voice came back after a few hushed whispers. “Understood. Good Hunting Captain. We’ll get on the horn with the corporation responsible for this atrocity.”

 “See that you do. End transmission.”

 A wire map was overlaid over his view and then pushed to the corner of his hud as it centered on his current location. He silently thought through several commands and found the quickest bypass route to the truck. Nodding to himself he pulled away from the side and hammered down on the acceleration. The roar of hot plasma was audible as he pushed past the traffic at an incredibly fast and reckless pace. This planet was one of the newer worlds in the Milky Way. But they were close enough to the edge and to the Commonwealth outpost to have heard of the Dracicannan Commonwealth. Occasionally the Grekar would trade amongst the people here leading to advances in medical sciences for a good deal of radioactive gas and materials from their nuclear fission facilities. They had still yet to learn the full mastery of Fusion. However the Grekar were ambushed on the planet by a corporate group and had their weapons stolen. So the Grekar came to the only person in the region they knew. And that was Rasmot.

 Rasmot grit his teeth. He had no idea how they managed to get a jump on the Grekar but this race must have learned or figured out the finer points of stealth before space travel. Needless to say the exchange left lasting damage on the Grekar hardware. The damage on the weapons was enough that it could literally turn a large portion of the city block into a contaminated bio-hazard zone, among other things, if released. And that thought did not please Rasmot at all. But the Grekar did ask nicely, gave him a way to shield the weapons from leaking poisonous radiation everywhere, and did give him the bike he’s using now. He had no clue as to how he’d even get it onto the shuttle. But perhaps he could just have them put it into storage for later use? He set those thoughts aside with a shake of his head as he navigated the highway back towards the truck. The Bikers were preparing another round of explosives to breach the back of the transport. With gentle motions he guided the bike to ride alongside the large truck as he pulled out a rifle and set it onto cruise mode.

 The top and rear portions of the rifle snapped away from each other and opened up a port to accept a power core of some kind into the center of the rifle. Rasmot pulled out a glowing green plasma cell from his jacket and slammed it into the center. Both ends of the rifle snapped shut as he pulled his hand away and the entire thing whined to life. He placed his palm against the side of the truck and lightly pushed sending his bike drifting to the side. With both hands on the rifle he sighted it and braced himself. One biker glanced up and his eyes went side before a spray of plasma slammed into his chest and face. The numerous cracks of thunder got everyone’s attention as the body went limp with various smoldering holes in the biker as the bike started to pitch and roll. With a growl the leader pointed at Rasmot. He was a split second too late as Rasmot shot the chain with another burst of plasma. The bikers were now without a hand hold for them to place the charges on the truck.

 With a loud uproar, the bikers pulled out their weapons and started firing at Rasmot. He squeezed out several more rapid bursts from the Plasma rifle. Nailing another four bikers before one of their shots got lucky and hit his bike. He glanced down and cursed as he grabbed the pistol and leapt from the bike and towards the truck. The shove of the jump pushed the bike over the wall as it tumbled before exploding in an earth rocking ball of flame. Several of the bikers tried to maintain their balance as Rasmot climbed onto the top of the truck and crouched down towards the back. He sighted in again as he went after the leader. A quick glance was all that the leader needed to know he was being targeted as he dove out of the way of a burst of plasma. Growling to himself he adjusted his aim and took another shot at the leader, this time catching one of the bikers in the chest as the leader used him for a meat shield.  With a curse he squeezed out several more bursts and shots. The other bikers returned fire but with cautious aim as Rasmot was sitting on several explosive charges locked onto the door. One of the shots roared past his face before he squeezed off another burst.

 The biker was pulling the trigger as he was shot and the weapon went wide. Instead of hitting Rasmot it hit one of the charges. It started to fizzle and whine. The other bikers started to try and frantically run away as Rasmot dashed away from the back. A loud explosion thudded outwards from the back of the truck and the loud scraping sound of metal on metal was audible. The truck started to automatically slow to a stop as the onboard driving computer registered a problem, calling emergency services. Rasmot got up and leapt towards the back. He touched down hard and went into a crouch as the bikers were driving away. Thankfully a piece of shrapnel tore through the chest of the lead biker and Rasmot grinned. Instant karma. Pulling out the containment device he approached the truck and found the Grekar weapon. As soon as he had it secure he narrowly avoided a Supersonic round aimed at his chest as it tore through the air.

 Spinning to the shooter he saw a black garbed figure before it started to dissipate into thin air. Thermo Optic Camouflage. Rasmot grit his teeth and secured the Grekar weapon under his coat and pulled out his Plasma pistol. Another shot whizzed by as he avoided the round meant for his head. He took that moment to squeeze off a shot of his own, missing the camouflaged operative. The plasma bolt did cause a gash on the armor of the soldier. This made it a little more visible to the naked eye as Rasmot concentrated on the next impending attack, his grip on his own weapon tightening. Instead of firing the soldier got in close and attempted to disarm Rasmot. The soldier instead got a fist to the face plate of his helmet followed by a discharge of static from the gauntlet Rasmot was wearing. It was barely able to whip around as Rasmot slammed his boot heel into the face plate and sent the soldier flying back into one of the bikes. It was the sound of another shot that made Rasmot nervous as he dodged that one as well. He was probably surrounded by now.

 Pulling out his Plasma pistol he waited for the sounds of footsteps before targeting the approaching soldier. The soldier got several shots to the chest and collapsed as smoke billowed upwards. Rasmot dodged another shot and slammed his side against the wall of the truck. He popped out and fired a wide burst across the distance. The bolts of green plasma illuminated several of the camouflaged attackers. Rasmot shot the nearest one in the face plate and sent the smoking corpse flying into the ground from the kinetic force of the plasma. He took another moment to prepare as he dodged another bolt, tucking into a combat roll and firing six shots into the attacking soldier before switching back to the rifle. Rasmot growled audibly and pulled a small octagonal cylinder from his jacket and pressed the button. With a chuck, the grenade skittered to a stop between several of the bikes. A moment passed and the grenade suddenly lifted up. All sides of the grenade ejected as the core became a bright white before the pent up plasma exploded outwards in all directions. The hiding soldiers became crispy soldiers as they were taken out by the grenade blast.

 He popped out from cover and let out another burst into the last soldier. The soldier fell to the ground trying to retreat from the scene. Sirens started to become audible as Rasmot walked towards the side of the highway with the weapon in question in one hand. He never understood Grekar tech fully. But he also knew that some things were best left to never being touched at all. With his thumb on the activator he depressed it and watched as the container crushed the weapon itself into a small cube and tossed the cube away as it burst into a small explosion and became ashes. Rasmot tapped a few commands onto his gauntlet and waited while the emergency vehicles got closer and closer. The roar of Anti-Gravity Jets was audible as his shuttle came into view and the side door opened. Rasmot leapt into the shuttle and closed the door before clipping into the cockpit.
