if it is very essential today to reconsider the life of every single thing that we use and produce: by the life we mean where it comes from, the use, and where it is going after the user has ended. as much as possible, we reuse and recycle what is no longer useful. but can we use an adaptive mindset on our day-to-day practice? what would be the challenge? and how to begin? this is the continuation story with tomas kozelsky of kogaa, a czech-based architectural design firm that emphasizes the importance of growing an adaptive mindset, in a way to lessen the heavyweight this earth bears and to keep innovating responsibly. “in our studio, we have a department that does a lot of exhibitions, especially when running brno design days. through these many installations, it becomes crucial that we think about the life of these often one-time-use materials because it would be such a waste to throw it all away in every demolition. so we started looking for ways to reuse these materials, and it started with our offices. so our office is 80% of recycled materials from the exhibitions. read more

Eu tenho uma teoria muito foda, mentira mas eu acredito de verdade nela. Cada estrela tem um sentido, um motivo de estar lá. Eu passei por momentos que não acreditei ter solução, que ninguém mais seria capaz de acreditar em mim, de desistir daquilo que amava por ter estragado tudo tentando ser alguém que não era. Mas sempre que eu olhava pro céu elas ainda estavam lá, me mostrando o caminho, e não é só isso que eu tenho de argumento. Desde o início da humanidade as estrelas são guias noturnos, navegadores experientes usavam elas pra se guiar durante a noite. Estrelas também já foram responsáveis pela personalidade e atitude das pessoas, pela noção de quando seria uma boa época pra se aventurar ou simples luzes da noite pra amantes apaixonados. Para mim, por muito tempo você foi minha estrela guia e a maior razão de olhar pro céu e pensar na vida. Não sei se vai lembrar mas muitas vezes que perguntava o que eu estava fazendo eu dizia: “olhando pro céu e pensando na vida”. Eu sei, era ridículo imaginar essa cena, mas a verdade é que você era o maior motivo de eu olhar pras estrelas, encontrar um motivo pra vc ter ficado cmg, ou procurar uma solução para manter você aqui comigo. Bem, foi doloroso na época saber que elas não nos dão respostas mas sim caminhos, eu escolhi o caminho de ter você para todo o sempre, e elas me deram um tipo de estrela diferente de todas elas, vc deixou de ser minha estrela guia, mas foi o nosso amor que se transformou em algo pra durar pra sempre, você se tornou minha estrela cadente. De tempos em tempos quando tudo está difícil na minha vida eu me obrigo a olhar para o céu, mesmo cinza, a procura da minha estrela guia no meio da noite e nunca consigo acha-la, acreditava que não te encontraria mais, e mesmo assim você aparecia, realizava meu único pedido, único que vou manter até o dia que eu completar minha missão aqui nesse planeta maluco. Poder ver você, escutar sua voz, lembrar de cada detalhe seu, de cada momento com vc, é como um flashback instantâneo que vem na minha mente toda vez que fala cmg, você não sabe a importância disso para mim, eu nunca tive coragem de dizer para ti, desde a parte q vc era a razão de eu olhar pras estrelas, até mesmo essa minha teoria do que são as estrelas e como você se tornou uma para mim. Você é a melhor parte de mim e a que quero manter viva. Te amo mt, talvez seja a única pessoa que eu disse isso com todo meu espírito, estou feliz e orgulhoso por tudo que conquistou até agora e nunca esqueça, eu sempre vou estar aqui torcendo para que você seja tudo aquilo que deseja e mais. Por isso, te desejo tudo de melhor sempre, espero te ver em breve... com muito amor
