Pardon the Interruption
Fighting off the slumber after a great meal Investigating my mind Seeking to find something substantive Is all this truly divine?
Can't help but wonder As I fight this slumber Sickened by these poisoning conditions I need a self-imposed quarantine Trying to build anew But can I please shoot some missiles at the machine? If not for the Faith I love I'd be sparking revolutions Seeking out an early death With no fear of persecution Maybe it'd be peaceful Maybe I'd be shooting
Who knows the end of hypothetical trajectories? Living this life I know all too well Has me waiting for the unexpected expectantly It's always around the corner Like this darkness in my reflections Can't escape familial fate There is no protection Their pain is my pain Why bother to fight And when it gets too deep, I just want to take flight But let me stop before I give an unsolicited introduction Forgive me, pardon the interruption
