Walking through her library, Patchouli encounters a fairy hard at work. She gives her a gentle pat on the shoulder.
The fairy makes a squeaking sound akin to a rubber duck. She’s imitially frightened, but relaxes when she realizes it’s Patchouli. The fairy thus goes about her business of of setting up “protective charms” against “malevolent powers” that are totally real and definitely not figments of the fairies’ overactive imaginations.
