not counting the cheeky little ones you have when you're 6, but i was 16. and it was in a library. incredibly sweet and i was smitten. and i of course sat at home afterwards and wrote little poems about it

my ex. was a muso. stood out from the crowd. best friend. ya know. and maybe the intense crush i had on a wonderful guy for like 3 years before that.
4: Talk about the thing you regret most so far.
hmmm.. i try not to regret things. but maybe not being gutsy enough to take a year off and travel this year. but $$ problems didn't help either.

i actually really enjoyed my birthday this year. i was the most content with myself, and life, and was surrounded with beautiful, caring people. and it was incredibly enjoyable.

i can't remember having a terrible one...

probably the fact that i sometimes feel out of the social loop, as in, wow everyone seems to be able to talk/be social so easily. or that i'm not saying the right thing.
but then i just remember that no one has any idea what's going on. and carry on with whatever i was trying to do.

i think i'm most proud of the fact that i've always done what i've wanted to. i don't let people push me around (too much). i'm not afraid to go alone. i've become my own person.
I had some opportunities come up throughout highschool to travel and experience things, and i took those. i had a goal to do my best in vce and did better then i thought i would. i studied what i wanted to this year
are these things to be proud of? i think so..

I like my eye colour. and wrists. and my quirky flat sticky out-y ear. and the fact that if you link all the freckles on my stomach they make a heart.

with who? i think i'm a lover and not a fighter. i avoid confrontation. oops. had a fair few fights with my ex. screamed at a friend during year 12, actually make that a few friends. inconsiderate pricks. no longer friends. fight with my sister every second day.
actually...had an extended family member verbally abuse me. made me realise they aren't who i thought they were. still try to avoid them

oh man i can never remember them. i like all the dreams where i'm flying

had quite a few bad ones this year. being used/abused by certain people/'friends'

hmm... we were 16. were playing music. in a perfect world i'd remember what it was. we were 'watching a movie' . it wasn't so much an awkward teenager thing. but it was full of love and was sweet.

went exploring with kfish in january this year. Japan and China. loved every bit of it. perfect adventuring friend.

i think that would be in the last few months. i began learning who i actually am. and what i want. and what people i want in life. developed an appreciation for the relationships i have. happy with my studies/work/friends/family. the waters seem to be smooth sailing for the near future, and i'm incredibly privileged to have what I have.
i mean, i'm still a blundering, confused idiot who screws up when ordering a coffee (hot chocolate), but I've come to understand that everyone is a little lost. so why let this consume me.
16: Talk about the best party you've ever been to.
uhh... most parties are good parties? i think? not that i've been to any hollywood film-worthy parties. but quite often it's with good company and good drinks so i almost always have a good time
(actually this may be because of impaired memories of events)
actually K's 21st was fab. tea party followed by a night out with some really great people.
17: Talk about someone you want to be friends with.
i've always wanted to be friends with someone who lives in the same street/suburb. all my favourite people live at least a decent drive away, and i've always wanted to be like the kids in movies, who can just run across the street and climb in their friends window.
18: Talk about something that happened in elementary school.
primary school was so much fun. in a country town, so our school fence was literally the farm fence of the paddock that bordered us on all three sides. I loved the summer days that were so hot you could barely move. can't recall a specific event.

um. went on a school camp to a school up in the alpine for 9 weeks. best thing ever.
20: Talk about something that happened in high school.
went sailing for two weeks in the whitsundays. why are all my favourite things the adventures i took? and my literature class
I actually enjoyed having 'our area' which we hung around at recess and lunch. and i enjoyed watching as everyone else intimidated the younger years by being so tall and mature looking. me, not so much.

i think this still pains me now, in retrospect. was dating a guy for a few months. lovely, kind person. relationship freaked me out, yet still liked him?. broke his wee little heart.

i still can't pinpoint this! there's nothing that terrifies me. probably just being abandoned by the people i hold closest.

i lock my heart in a box and haven't actually been in this positon before. i need to be more vulnerable... where's that c.s. lewis quote?

i'm a terrible person and can't remember any of this meaningful stuff.
but a lot of things Kfish has said reminds me how good it is to be alive. and also when my dad gets melancholic, he can say some great things.

my ex is my ex best friend. ouch. had the same interests, listened to the same music. introduced eachother into different worlds. it was wonderful. but life happens.

i never get sick! it's great! (i lie, i get sick about once a year...) and i kinda just make a blanket nest and watch sitcoms, and drink tea. oh wait... i do that anyway when i'm not sick?

people in general? i like eyes. and hands. and necks

i could talk about it from a clinical aspect, but i won't. i think it's like when you hold your breath for a long time, and just can't hold it anymore and have to let go and breathe. i think it would feel like that sort of release/relief. in a peaceful death. or like drifting off to sleep.

i still go, but i remember my grandparents house on the coast. river inlet. town with 10 houses. ocean with huge rolling waves.

eat. lie in bed and do nothing. sleep. literally do nothing. watch lots of tv.

not a great deal. had incredible abdo pain a few times in the last 12 months. was hit in the face with a softball once. heartbreak actually hurts pretty bad.

biting my damn fingers! and certain habits i have when i talk, like certain phrases and whatnot. and i sometimes stutter and in the last few months it's been getting worse.

why be guilty if it's a pleasure? guilt is only when it's something the rest of society frowns upon. (except in law stuff)
but i love driving to ABBA with mum. but abba is fun. i don't think i find the rest as guilty? ...V discovered my liking of Kanye today and was in disbelief. guess who's getting a kanye playlist now.

my ex. i think it's the whole 'being in love with the idea of a person' . ask me after/during my next relationship, so i can compare.

ok so i can't think of anything right now.

that i am my own person. highschool would have been so different. i wish i'd known that i was being used. i wish i'd known that nobody else has a clue, so for me to stress less. I wish i'd known that it's ok to be alone.
but then again, these experiences all taught me something major, so in a sense i'm glad they happened

I can't remember who said it, it's on my blog somewhere...but i guess the end of all my old selves. or my pokemon regenerations. wazzup. i can pinpoint times where i've had major learning curves and have seen a change in perspective because of this. during year 9, before i took a chance and went on this alpine camp, i was incredibly lonely and upset (i won't say depressed because it was never official.) i think i'd grown apart from my friends, and felt so much of an outcast. i ended that. then just in the last 6 months, i guess being welcomed into the real world, and just shedding all the weight on my shoulders, and the fractured friendships. they've made me who i am today. and i would never want these to not have happened, as they've made me who i am now, and i'm happy with who that is.

Hello, One and All! I'm so so sorry that it took me so long to officially "introduce" myself to you all. I was away from Tumblr and Facebook for a month. I must say, though, that God is good, and He has revealed even more of His goodness to me over this last month! I am SO excited to tell you all about it! Oh goodness. Yes.
But let's get down to who I am. Name's Kayleigh Harshman. I am a sinner at my very core. My eyes have only been opened because of God's great kindness and mercy. It is by grace I have been saved, by faith, not by my own doings -- and Christ is revealing that to me more and more every day. There is nothing good in me except what the Father has given me, and I am grateful every day for His loving kindness that He pours out on His children.
To the stuff that doesn't matter quite as much, but you might as well know a bit more about me:
I am engaged to be married in July to the most wonderful man I've ever met, Trent Johnson. He is handsome and a wonderful man of God, and I can't wait to see where God takes us.
I love elephants. Want to get on my good side? Elephants.
I HATE sharks. They terrify me like no other. I can't even stand to see pictures of them. Want to get on my bad side? Sharks.
I still live at home with my parents.
I am not attending school right now. I'm out looking for my donkies. (I'LL BE WRITING ABOUT THAT LATER! SO EXCITED! If I forget, remind me! Haha.)
I have two nieces -- One biological, and the other is my goddaughter. Both very adorable, and I love them to pieces.
I ramble a lot. I apologize.
I play the piano (kind of) and sing. I am on my church's worship band, a youth group worship band, and lead a monthly youth-led worship service at my church. Music is kind of a huge part of my life. (I've even written a couple songs... Nothing extravagant. Just what God has put on my heart.)
I post lots of pictures. Especially with my nieces.
