"Little thing."
The small girl looked up at him with a shy smile. “Are you a knight, sir..? Y-you look like one…”

The forest was still mostly a mystery to Rognir but he was determined to continue his daily patrols through Lordran only now with much more caution. At the sound of someone else's movement the warrior dropped down into a crouch to approach the source of the noise nearly drawing his blade before he saw who it was. Slowly he rose from the foliage making at least some attempt to not startle her. "Eh...hello?"
She spun upon hearing someone say ‘hello’, her grasp on her talisman tightening considerably. Verit visibly relaxed upon seeing who it was, however, giving the knight a small smile. “Sir Rognir, hello..!”
A bucket over one arm, found in one of the abandoned homes, was full of the reason she was in the forest at the current time: herbs and fruit. And checking a couple traps that had been set for small animals, though there had been no luck so far.
"What are you doing out here..?"
Rognir didn't give them time to react before planting a heavy boot into one of the slavers back sending him sailing into a nearby wall as he drew his glaive and put himself between the rest of the group and Ruavi. "You fools don't know the enemy you've made."
The slavers - a group of orcish raiders - turned on the human in an instant, their brutal weapons being drawn. In a practiced motion, they all attempted to jump him at once - though instead of their usual tactic of subduing (to capture slaves), they aimed to kill. The rest of the market-goers stepped away from the brawl, either pausing to watch, or carrying on their business. Ruavi was bound, unable to help him in the fight.

Steady As She Goes
Ruavi could feel the pitch and swell of the sea, the ship coursing onwards regardless. She could hear the creak and groan of the hull, the slight shifting of the cargo, and the sound of bootsteps above. With a sigh, she leaned back against the crates she was hidden behind. The advantage to merchant ships, one was less likely to be found if they knew where to hide.
The disadvantage to merchant ships, they were really boring. Not that she would want to get caught on any other ship, really, but this one was almost too easy. Only a week at sea, so far, and she was wishing she had brought a book to read... A nip at her fingers, and the elf glanced down to see Sael wagging his tail, wanting attention. The pup nudged her hand, looking up at her expectantly, so she gave the softest of chuckles while scratching behind his ears.
It was a risk, bringing a pet aboard. But she couldn't leave him behind. He seemed smart enough to realize they were hiding, anyways, keeping quiet save for the occasional low growl. His ears perked up and the pup bounded away, staring at something that had his complete attention. Before Ruavi could grab him, Sael ran towards another stack of cargo, and around a corner, looking for something. Or someone.
Rognir awoke to the sun beating down on his face and covering his eyes for a moment he rose to inspect the area, after a few seconds realized he'd found himself in yet another world he wasn't familiar to. He looked around for a minute before his mind turned to his equipment, or rather lack there of he apparently come in his sleep seeing as how he didn't have anything on him except his inner robes and he resolved he was completely lost he made a simple call into the distance. "Hello?!"
Two dunes over, the pair had been resting, and Ruavi sat upright when she thought she heard something. Sael’s ears were already perked, but he only got up when she slid onto the saddle. “Well, let’s go see what that was, eh?”
Moments later, the knight would see a large wolf, carrying a rider, heading in his direction. Both clad in armor made of hardened leather, weapons at the ready, they were clearly fighters of some sort. But as they approached, Ruavi took in his appearance. He certainly wasn’t equipped for the desert. How did he get all the way out here?
"Hail, stranger! Little lost, are we?" She called, stopping several paces away, grinning at him.
"Don’t get too close."
Aparacia shook her head and chuckled quietly as she looked around the corner at the tall dark colored knight which had its back to them, a massive sword held seemingly effortlessly a couple inches off the ground. “Don’t need to tell me twice dear,” she whispered back to him with a playful smile and gestured forward with her chin, “Lead the way.”
