oh god stop slaying me, that is totes more sweet and caring than any traditional stupid gesture, FFS a kettle that is a real caring. And yeah analyzing life sometimes is ok, but to much of it results into overkill. Side note his ancestry requires him to survive on cheap booze, so don’t worry about that
I have compulsive urges to do the exact opposite than what is asked of me. So you get to hear about the 4yo story.
What is the four year old story? No, it’s not four years old. It started this weekend. It’s that moment I panicked over having to be mature, and go out at the end of a long, fun day (we went to university in the morning, because I dragged him to my talk for my history class, then we watched the eclipse, and then I had one more class) and I was trying not to cry while crawling on the floor in search of a sock. (Not so cute. I know.) So he said:
«Calm down, you are starting to look like a four year old.
-Oh, wait there it is! Ok, ok. I’m fine.»
(Then we drank for a solid 10 hours straight and were hungover for a bit longer. After which our level of laziness in bed reached a moment of incredible acuity, where he started licking my armpit because it was “in the way of my boob.” yes, I called him a four month old, but that’s not the cute part.)
The cute part is Monday morning, there was a cement truck in front of the door, you know, those with the big rotating mixing thing, and he just couldn’t stop looking at it. With bright eyes and an open mouth, reaching out almost to touch it. Like that truck was the coolest thing EVRR!
And that’s a man who can and will discuss the illusion of sustainability for hours. But stick him in front of a truck and he’s a four year old again.
Yeah, I know that I analyse stuff too much.
