listen @obsessedwithklingons this isn't exactly a fic in full fic form but it's a fic i wish i would sit down and write

so you remember this fine specimen

idk how to make the picture smaller but it doesn't matter

so his father was dishonored right? but by the end of the episode, riker has dicked him down softened his heart and changed his mind

so in a fic i wish i would write, klag goes back to homeworld to see his dad. except his dad isn't living in his family home with his wife and children, he's dishonored so his wife was like, nah get out honorless, so he goes to live in another village. like some small klingon town where they don't ask too many questions. except he's a warriorly warrior and doesnt really know how to live on his own. so he hires a housekeeper cause who had time to learn to cook? he was too busy dying for kahless or w/e.

(housekeeper is whatever species reader wants to put in there. i put in human female who has her own backstory and is living on the klingon homeworld for personal reasons that are irrelevant to this post)

so klag tracks his father down and when he gets to the house, he doesnt immediately see his dad, he sees this alien female and he's like wtf, where is my father?? and she's like excuse you who are you?? why are you here who are you?? and he's like i'm klag son of - and she's like...torn because wow happy day! his son showed up! and also why have you treated your FATHER like this for years??

but his dad shows up and is like MY SON IS HERE MY SON CAME TO SEE ME TAKE THAT, DEPRESSION

and as klag sticks around to mend things with his father, he sees that the housekeeper does care about his dad, she wants him to eat right and stay healthy and they are friendly (and thanks to his friendship with riker, he can appreciate the beauty of someone who isn't klingon)

and his father is just so happy that his son his here, how is your mom, how are your siblings, how is life on the ship, how are you but dad also sees that klag is like more than a little interested in his housekeeper and hes like ho ho ho yknow son she sure can cook a mean blood pie
