Quarantine boredom away! (Lightstick deco tutorial)
I hope everyone's trying out new things to keep themselves busy at this annoying time. This idea is a little something I've done a few months ago but I thought it would be something you could try to keep yourself busy at this time. If you don't dare to try this it's ok! Not everyone dares to try this for many reasons such as not wanting to decorate it, don't wanna break it by accident or just like theirs simple.
Things you'll need:
Your lightstick (any of your choice of you have more than one)
Decoden supplies (you can simply get them from any DIY store. For me I got them at Daiso while I was in Japan.
Glue (or gloss, like me), to stick on everything.
Paint (optional)
To do this, first remove the strap, battery compartment and the handle of your lightstick. Make sure your lightstick won't fall! Keeping it in a safe workspace makes it easier to work and dry safely.
Pick out any deco items you wish to use. Try making placements before you have your final decision.
Put the items in place by glueing them carefully. If your lightstick has a dome or is irregular shaped like mine make sure the pieces won't slip off easily. If you wanna put fake whipped cream, make sure it won't get smudged or accidentally touch with something.
Once all of the pieces dry completely carefully put the battery and handle parts back on.
Vola! Your lightstick is as pretty as ever!
For anyone that wants to attempt to turn their lightstick into a shaker the bottom bit is for you.
Before you do this search it on YouTube on how to dismantle your lightstick.(different ones have different methods)
Things you'll need for this project:
Screws
Fake sprinkles/large glitter flakes/beads
Carefully take off all of the screws needed with a help of a YouTube tutorial (my SF9 one is different) Make sure to not mix up the screws!
If your lightstick is a dome (like an ArmyBomb or a carat bong) just simply put it in the dome and carefully screw the dome back on without letting anything spill.
If yours comes of in 2 halves like mine put the contents onto each side, put the logo part back onto one side then put the already closed side onto the other side. Once that's done carefully put the rest back on like how you dismantled it.
Tada! You lightstick can now be a personal shaker! I guarantee you, the aftermath is really satisfying.
*shaking intensifies*
