Yeah, the pool is honestly my biggest meh about the house--if the price wasn't so amazing for that size house and lot around here, I'd be lacing up my nope shoes and running far away. Especially up here, most people only use their pools from around Memorial Day to around Labor Day, and even then, you never know how many summer days will be good for swimming (today, for instance, it is chilly out and cloudy... if the pool was heated, not as big a deal, but an unheated pool would mean a very chilly, miserable time). SO a big part of me thinks that, if the house is otherwise perfect for us, I'd rather just get the pool filled in (because it's in-ground) and maybe use any water systems in place for a jacuzzi... much more frequently usable and a lot easier to maintain.

BUT on the other hand, the exercise issue is something that's made me long for a pool for ages: especially since giving birth, my joints have just been a wreck, and that makes even walking for exercise something I hate (I do it anyway--Kat and I try to get out at least 3-4 times a week with the stroller--but I loathe it because even after just walking for a little while, my knees and hips are screaming). I discovered at my uncle's pool on the Fourth of July, though, that just even standing in the water relieves all the pressure, so having access to a pool for that reason alone would make me really happy.

It feels even worse when you put it into a character context like "I just photoshopped some hapless German footballer who is probably a decent person into a narcissistic, racist, sociopath, pro-slavery, pro-human experimentation, tantrum-throwing space wizard and thank god he has no idea??"

or "I just spent half an hour rendering what the inside of Woody Harrelson's face might look like"
