Okay so, Miss Pìpì update. I know some of you have been asking and so here it is. Miss Pìpì is okay! I was able to take her in for an MRI (thank you to every single one of you that donated and made that possible, I am so monumentally grateful to you for your support and care) AND spinal tap (very scary- I cried before, during, and after the procedure but Calliope pulled through just fine 🥺). The results came back clear! Calliope does not have brain cancer, or as far as we can tell, any terminal disease. I talked to her Neuro for some time and we are torn on her diagnosis. We have debated between her having epilepsy, or paroxysmal dyskinesia- both illnesses of which there really is no way to diagnose or officially cure in cats as of now. The doc did suggest some epilepsy medication that we can put her on, but I haven’t officially started her on any treatment, since there’s a lot to consider side effects wise and possible conflicts with her heart condition. So with that being said, the most important take away from all this for me is really that Miss Pípí is okay and she’s stable! I will continue to monitor her condition with the help of her neuro, cardiologist and GP, but as of now she is a very happy baby and full of sass!
Thank you again to everyone that supported me during that awful time- Miss Pìpì is thankful too💛💛💛
