I was doing some "historical research" and came across this old article in the #KitsapSun with an interview with Mike from late 2006, right as Tumbledown was starting to come together and Mike was experimenting with solo material. I find it a fascinating window into that time of life. Secret Weapon was yet to be recorded and with it a bit of a resurgence, of course followed by PWP and then the huge resurgence as of late. Mike is now in his 40s and MxPx has never been stronger! Mike is rocking it heavier and harder than ever! (This is also a great point for knowing context when you read things online and not just believing everything you read.)
