What Kit had to go through is so absolutely horrifying in the sense that people actually believed him being a public figure gives them the pass to not only comment but actively speculate his sexuality and further double down on it to the point that the said group of people forced him to come out. FORCED HIM. 

The entire crux of Heartstopper is to acknowledge coming to terms with one’s own sexuality at their convenience, pace and wish. How do you see such a beautifully crafted show and still not understand that? How does in this case mind you an 18yrs old’s sexuality such a big concern to you? People reach 60s and still don’t come to terms and here some are telling what the person actually is. Him holding an opposite gender person’s hand was a trigger enough for those group of people to force him to come out. Jesus.

For those who actively commented on him, his sexuality, his friendships, and him as a person, take a step back and look what you have done. This is not a win you think it is. This is you forcing someone out of their closet with absolute disregard to the respective person’s wishes. Don’t force a person into a position you would never like yourself to be in.

I hope Kit is surrounded with the best most loving and supportive people.
