She was always pushing her luck with people and Kit happened to be one of them. Friends of hers that were dealers were always an interesting conundrum. Does she stop speaking to them or does she continue speaking to them and hope that one day when she’s feeling weak they don’t let her purchase? It was the same thing that had happened with Adrian, the man dealing with his own shot at sobriety, confronted by a hurting Izzy. Considering Izzy was a master at manipulation, her addiction would finally win. Now, she’s trying to stay on the right path, something that almost everyone in town would assume that she never strayed from. Kit, however, would know from the texts that Izzy had sent looking to buy from him a few months ago. Hell, she would’ve done anything. — Anything. Popping herself in the chair next to Kit, tugging lightly at her dress’ skirt to keep it from exposing too much, she looks over at him. “You’ve looked better, baby,” she comments, figuring they all looked better when they weren’t thinking that they might be next on the Rogue’s list. “You’re still pretty though, don’t worry,” she reminds him, touching his face briefly.

It isn’t lost on Rowan that she has spent the better part of the last month being a complete fucking hermit. She’s heard from just about everyone in her life how unhealthy that is and how she needs to get back into her routines -- she knows that to be true, and tells herself it will be better when her hand is healed and she can get back to her regular duties at work but for now she has been, admittedly, wallowing and hiding out. But it’s a rare beautiful day in Olympus where the sun is shining but it’s not humid enough to make breathing hard, and she would be an idiot not to take advantage of it --- but she also feels like she would be an idiot to go out with three children in strollers by herself so, naturally, she had called her cousin and asked him to meet her in the parking lot of the preserve. She’d begun the process of unloading the kids from the car seats and into the strollers -- Henry and Rae in a double and Benny in a single that she’ll pawn off on Kit when he gets there. As if on cue, when she finishes getting everyone buckled in she hears her cousin. “You can take the little man since I heard you’ve been usin’ him to hit on the women of Olympus,” she nods down toward Benny who is excited at the sight of his uncle. She pauses, pushing her sunglasses up on her head and squinting at Kit for a moment. “You look like you’ve been on a four day bender.” Of course, she’s being dramatic. 

Even though Bilius no longer flies as much as he used to, he still likes to keep his broom in tip-top shape. What kind of self-respecting past Quidditch player wouldn’t? Even though it mostly just hangs on the wall of its bedroom, Bilius likes to keep it shiny and glossy by coating it with wax whenever he gets nostalgic about being on the field once more. 

Earlier this week, he finally ran out of wax. That’s why he made the trip to Diagon Alley’s Quality Quidditch Supplies. He only had to buy one thing, but of course, just like any Quidditch fiasco, his eyes wandered the store first, hoping to check out any new models. He caught himself admiring one when he felt a presence looming over from behind.

Bilius turned and smiled at the familiar. “Hey there, cos,” he greeted. Kit was barely really a cousin given how different their families are but it was a nickname Bilius loved using for the older man all the same. “Checking out the competition?”
