Adventures in KIRF... You didn’t expect this to end any other way now did you? First the faulty in-ear detection was intermittently pausing the music. “Turn off in-ear detection” said the vendor. Okay, that helped. Then it stopped pairing when off the AC. So that meant I basically couldn’t use them outside. Now that’s a deal breaker. I will say this for @alibaba.com_official the returns dispute process is fast and painless. Now let’s see how long until I get my refund. On tonight’s episode of KIRF: Keeping It Real Fake - AirPod Pro V3 1:1 Knockoffs brought to you by Alibaba! They sound surprisingly good. The earbuds make all the difference. The seal improves the bass and they feel super secure in the ear. Makes me want to buy the real ones someday. Of course they don’t have Transparency or Noise Cancellation... don’t get carried away. But they do have Force Touch. They were pausing music for no discernible reason but that seems to have stopped. The battery reading is a total lie. These got 1 hour 44 mins of playback at medium-high volume. So for long trips I will be using my good ol’ wired Shures.
